chapter 2

Matilda Pov

After 3 long ass hours the bell finally decided to ring, while people were still finding their way through the door I was still packing my books when I raised my head up it was only me and Candy plus Daisy and Elsie.

"So are you gonna greet them?" Candy asked while walking straight to the doorway

"Why not ?"I questioned

We got to Daisy and Elsie and I was kinda walking on Daisy's side so I had to greet"uhm heyy"I greeted scratching the back of my head 

"hey"she replied simply

"uhm so you're staying in class I mean it's lunch time you can have lunch with us if you want" I tried to make a little conversation or perhaps get them to have lunch with us 

"No thank you, we'll pass"she replied with a stern voice It kinda hurt a little I don't usually get turned down by girls so I walked away with Candy to heal my precious heart

Daisy Pov

We were left alone in class peaceful with my beautiful best friend 

"Do you have any idea who you just turned down?"she questioned with a puzzled expression

"Elsie come on when did we start having lunch with strangers?"

"That's Matilda the popular soccer star in the school girl's team aka the student lesbian aka every girl's crush"

"Ouu when you say every girl's crush you're including yourself?"I squinted my eyes at her

"Noo,I'm just trying to highlight to you who she is" she said letting her hands up in the air 

"I don't care who she is she's still a stranger, and let's do our homeworks" I said pulling out a homework book 

"Come on Daisy we can do it at home" she got up from her sit being lazy

"You know I won't be able to do it at home peacefully, and why you being lazy out of the sudden?"considering my parents I can never study peacefully at home without being enterupted every 2 seconds so I choose to write all my homeworks in class 

"It's the first day of the academic year let's do something fun how about we go to the shops buy some sandwiches, we can't be glued on books all the time"she pulled me out of the desk 

"You know this is the only time I have to write my homeworks" I said unwillingly to go

"Come on we'll be quick"Elsie insisted I ended up agreeing.we strolled in the hallway made our way to the nearest shop, Elsie took out a $5 note to pay for our sandwiches while heading to the counter to pay

"I'll pay for the drinks" I headed to the fridge to take the drinks and accidently crashed into someone "I'm so sorry please forgive my clumsiness I didn't look "I i apologised to the person,when I looked up I met with Matilda's eyes "Matilda?" I was a little surprised it was her

"It's fine, you know my name"?she asked taking a close look at me

"Uhm my friend told me about you so yeah"

"Oh so you didn't know me ?"she smirked

"Now I know"I said simply ignoring her smirk even thou it made me nervous a little

"Okay lemme introduce myself formally this time, I'm Matilda i play soccer in the lady's soccer school team , and your classmate now"she added with a smirk again 

"Elsie"I only said my name

"Oh I see you don't like talking much"

"I'm sorry you'll have to excuse me my friend is waiting for me I have to pay for our drinks"I excused myself and headed to the counter to purchase the drinks

"were you talking to Matilda?" Elsie questioned with a huge smile on her face while we were strolling back to class

"I crashed on her by accident so I apologized and she introduced herself"

"And?" she questioned curiously

"And nothing that was all,why you so interested in her? I glanced at Elsie who was resting her drink and on the desk preparing to take a sit on her chair

"Caaause, you're a lesbian and so is she".

"I'm not a lesbian never ever say that again"I said with a grin on my face

"Come on when will you stop being in denial"

"Okay Elsie, I like girls I love them they intimidate me now stop being so loud about this before someone hears you"I shushed her 

The bell rang , learners started pouring in class, I get up from my sit fixing my  skirt but someone trips on my foot and i catch them from falling

"Ou thank you"she looked up to see my face and there it was, Matilda again .

"It was my mistake actually I shouldn't have stood on the way"

"Such a coincidence right? we both tripped from each other twice today" she says finally standing on her own support, I removed my arms on her 

"Yeah it is"

"I'm sorry but can I see your face I really wanna see your face" she pleaded

"Sure" she tucked a few strands of my hair behind my ear which were in my face ,I don't really tie my afro hair often i always comb it and let it sit on my face 

"You're beautiful" her compliment made me blush I looked away to stop myself from blushing before she noticed

"Thanks" I stepped back cause she was uncomfortably close 

Tess came up to us and pulled Matilda by her arm making her face her "Matilda there's something I actually wanna discuss with you"

"I was actually still talking to Daisy" Matilda responded pulling back her arm from Tess's hands 

"No you can go ahead" I sat back on my seat, Tess dragged Matilda to her sit 

"That girl is Soo annoying, you actually let Matilda tuck your hair behind your ear, you never let anyone touch your hair" Elsie glanced at me 

"She asked Elsie " I rolled my eyes at her 

"Can I touch your hair?"

"Stop being dramatic Elsie" I hit her with the piece of paper I was holding she dodged it fast

"See what I'm talking about?" she asked amusedly

"Oh Elsie"I rolled my eyes again.
