In the evening, Kielee was feeling better. She got up from her bed when she noticed that there was no one in the room. It was dark but she was scared.
She only wished Azriel was here by her side. Did he come to see her while she was asleep?
Kielee put on her black jacket and boots. She took a cup of water from the table and emptied it into her mouth. Her throat hurt a bit. It could be because of the anger she felt this morning.
She couldn't lease it out because of Azriel. He has come this far to exact revenge on the people who took away his parents and kingdom.
They all deserved to die especially the princess. As each day go by, her hate for Azrael grows stronger. Something inside told her it was going to be her worst mistake on earth to agree on this quest.
How will a man tempt such a beautiful lady and not fall in love with her? What she saw in the garden was not just a pretense. Azriel was going astray.
Kielee opened the door of the room. As usual, there was noise coming from downstairs. The men were drunk. They sang all kinds of songs.
She wondered if they had nothing to do more than to entice a princess.
"Kielee?" She heard a familiar voice from behind. Kielee did not move. Her heart skipped for a bit. Was that Azriel or she was beginning to imagine things? "How are you doing?"
Kielee turned and faced him. Her eyes glowed when they met with his. His green pair drew the life out of her. She wished she could just stand and watch them for a lifetime.
His worried face made her smile. He still cared about her. Princess Azrael did not confuse his brain as she had thought.
"I said how are you doing?" He asked again, this time he drew a bit closer.
"Not bad. Was I lay there for long?" kielee managed to ask.
"Since morning, Queen" Azriel slightly bowed and chuckled. Seeing him talk to her made her better. It had been a long they had a good conversation. It's always been the princess nowadays and how to impress her.
"Just call me sleeping beauty, Azriel" She glanced at him briefly.
"Okay then, sleeping…Beauty" He said, looking towards the men. They were all paying attention to them. Because of how princess Azrael had been with him throughout the day, their eyes won't let him be. They were waiting for him to make a mistake.
"I want to ask you a question," Kielee said all of a sudden. She was not sure whether to ask now or later. How was he going to take it? He nodded and she continued "it's about the princess, your highness. Do you feel anything for her? I wondered if this is a game or if your feelings are coming out. We saw what happened in the garden…"
"You did?" Azriel was surprised. Nobody mentioned it to him. He asked Heather when they left and she said they left before everyone. How come did she know about them in the garden?
"Yes, everyone saw how you were so eager to kiss the princess" Kielee blurted. "I thought girls from the castle were disciplined. But she isn't. As the princess, I was expecting her to live by example.
Azriel sighed. The princess was not at fault. He was the one who started it this morning "Do you blame the princess here? By the way, we did not kiss. I won't do that to her good reputation."
Kielee looked at him in disbelief. They didn't kiss? She thought he kissed. They were so close to each other that anyone would think the same.
Confused about what to say even though she was happy that nothing serious transpired between them. Now it was left to her to make sure that whatever happens between them, he shouldn't fall in love with the princess.
"Can we go and join the others?" Azriel asked with his eyes on her. She nodded and he took her hand. They walked out of the bar and found the rest chatting outside.
Heather was the first to see them. She got up quickly and went to meet kielee. Nobody must see them close to each other. To the people of Akkad, they were just maids to Lord Azriel.
"How are you feeling now?" she asked when she got to them.
"Better" Kielee smiled. She let go of his have when she noticed the barman staring at him. Quickly, the girls bowed and left.
Azriel stood there. He was thinking about the princess throughout the day. Was she going to follow his silly instructions? Of course, she won't. Azrael was a spoilt child. She stated clearly that she doesn't take instructions from anyone.
It was going to be difficult to win her heart. Such a stubborn woman would not give in to all his naughty ways. He has to work harder than ever to reach his goal.
"Pardon me, my Lord" The barman walked up to him and interrupted. Azriel urged and asked, "Have you seen a genasi lately?"
Azriel's eyes widened. His heart skipped and he wished that the barman did not ask such a question. Why did he ask? Did the man know what he was? How many people were aware of this?
He tried to speak up but his voice failed him. The thought of losing everything frightened him. Why now? Was the only words running through his mind.

Hello guys. Sorry I went off without informing you. I wrote my test and exams in the same month. It wasn't easy for me and after that, I broke down. I'm getting better and my fingers can type fast now too.
