Chapter One.

"Princess... What are you doing here?" The male dragon in human form asks.

The princess look at him with a warm smile.

"Crochet" she answered

The dragons furrowed his eyebrow, clenching his jaw and ask another question in nice way possible

"Can you at least do that somewhere else?"

"My house is too dirty for my creation and look! I make a crochet dragon plush" she said with a wide annoying smile " Isn't cute?" She giggled while showing her creation.

" Princess, dragons are not meant to be cute"

"But you look really cute when we're kids"

The dragon sighed and walk to the princess's location.

"just go home," he said after taking the plushie. The princess lay down while pouting.

" Don't wanna! It's too boring at the castle!"

" Your family will worry about you," the dragon said after laying down next to the princess.

She looks at the dragon eyes filled with sincerity and said "No, they won't"

The dragon looks away after seeing a hint of loneliness in her eyes but the cold and serious atmosphere was broken after they both heard a knight shouting the princess's name. They both furrowed their eyebrows and sigh.

"Knew it, You're going to pay to whatever they are going to break," the dragon said before walking to the huge window. The princess looks shocked and asks the dragon before it leaves.

"You mean the plushie is not good enough?!"

"What kind of currency is that?" The dragon asks

"I'm a poor princess!"

" Ask your daddy or something"

" I don't have one"

The dragon didn't answer and turn into its true form before facing the knight. The princess rolls her eyes and fixes herself before the knight finds her in her messy appearance.

An hour past, the door was loudly open and the knight shows up

"Princess!" He shouted. He looks around the room and saw a female, she has porcelain skin, long golden hair, and blue eyes. She is indeed a true goddess, he thought.

"A knight?" Her voice sounds so soft and feminine and all he can think right now is what does it feels like when her roses lips touch his?.

"Thank you for saving me from the cruel dragon" even her smile is beautiful. He started walking to her place and kneel his one knee.

"Her royal highness, Princess of Sun Kingdom." He greeted, " Are you alright? " He asks before standing up.

" Ahh, yes" she answered.

"Shall we? "He offered his hand but before she is even able to accept it a loud footstep is coming.

" Princess Calysta Helios" Her eyes widen after hearing her older brother's voice.

"Prince Lucas..." She stands up and shows courtesy.

" Are you hurt?" The prince asks while his gaze is falling under the bed. The princess follows his stare and saw a few yarns.

She nearly freaks out but pulls herself together and makes sure that her brother will lose interest in this yarn. She slowly walks to her brother before touching her head.

"I feel a bit dizzy" she answered.

"I see, get the doctor ready" He ordered in one of his men before carrying the princess.

"And you, follow us" he ordered to the knight

"Yes, Your Royal Highness," the knight said.

They all leave the dragons lair and while they are on the road. The prince gives the princess a cold look, getting ready to scold her.

"So... Amm... How's war?" She tried to start a conversation and change the atmosphere.

" It was fine" he answered in a cold tone.

"I see..." She looks away trying not to be affected by his stare.

"Calysta, why did you escape again?"

Her eyes widen as sweat starting shows on her forehead.

"Wh-what? No! There is no way I would do that! That is unladylike" she tried her best to be calm while lying.

Her brother just gave her a cold stare while waiting for her to tell the truth. She looks down and sighs and answers.

"I want to be free"

She looks at the window of the carriage, watching them passed. The prince sigh while massaging the bridge of his nose.

"You're asking to be off your head," He said, his tone was scary and serious. She can feel it and she knows what he said is true. She felt chills inside of her bones, her chest feels suffocating. The princess touches her neck and the memory of people watching the last few queens beheaded plays in her memory.

"I'm sorry" she whispered.

"Calysta, I'm telling you this for your good. Stop wondering around" He said

" I know" she whispered while keeping her tears to fall.

"Fix yourself" he ordered.

She nodded, the prince sigh and pat the princess head.

"One day, you will receive your freedom" He promises with his gentle tone.

"If that day happens, can I do some camping?" She asks while her eyes are shinning.

"It always scares me by how fast your mood changes"

"I'll take that as a yes," she said while grinning.

He just sighs and leaves the carriage before helping the princess to get down. Before they even got a chance to walk inside a group of maids to take the princess back to her chamber.

The sun has said goodbye while the moon rises with its stars. The princess lay down in her soft bed while planning how is she going to escape next week.

"You look wasted"

She looks at the man sitting in her window frame.

"Shut up, I'm using my brain" she ordered

"You still never learn your lesson huh?" The dragon smirk before sitting in her bed.

"What lesson?" She asks, looks at him with innocent eyes.

"You are such a bad princess," he said while smiling.

"Sounds like a lie to me anyway what happen and you decided to visit a lady's chamber at night?"

She stands up and walks into her tea set.

"You forgot this" He explains and shows her crochet set.

"Ohh! Thank you. Would you like some tea?" She offered.

"No, you know that I don't like dried leaves with hot water" he declined

" Really? Too bad I already made one for you" she said before giving him a cup.

"Sometimes I wonder who taught you these things"

"I think it was a huge lizard" the princess answered before taking a sip

The dragon furrowed his eyebrow but as soon as their eyes met they can't help but giggle.
