"Aerwyn? You never told me you had your eyes on Aerwyn," Sam said, dragging out a chair to sit. Kieran paused in what he was doing, his eyebrows quirked up.
"I wasn't, but we all know who it would've gone to instead. He deserves nothing! Not when I fought for it. If Aerwyn was ever to go to anyone, it would be me, and I made sure of that," Kieran gritted out, thinking back to how the man had stared at him all through the debacle. It wasn't news that Josh had always had his eyes on Aerwyn. It was also one of the reasons why he fought tooth and nail to be the one fronting the war.
"I'm sure he got the..." he stopped speaking, his eyes clouding slightly as though he was communicating through the mind link.
"What is it this time?" Kieran asked, seeing the man blink, recollecting himself.
"Genevieve is back," Sam let out, walking into the office fully, and behind him was Eve. The woman stepped into the office, her head lowered.
