Chapter Ten 

Nalani had sensed her before she could even see her that was another gift she was still yet to understand looking at both directions of the woods Nalani picked the darker route of the two although It would mean a longer route back to the cottage and even have her move around the wolf villages, this particular walk would be well worth it looking around she decided the huge black tree would suffice for this conversation. Counting backward from ten she waited until she appeared  

"I'm sorry"

"I'm sorry" 

"I'm sorry" came to the pleading voice of the ghost girl her tears dropping slowly down her cheeks

Nalani looked on and shook her head "you could have at least given me a heads up of the warrior coming but no you jump head first into your body the moment you see it now is in this mess if I could kill you again you would be dead already and the second ghost don't cry I don't know how you got the water works moving but I do believe the dead have no emotions so you aren't fooling me with those eye ducts " Nalani spoke to which the ghost girl snorted quiet unlady like which made Nalani squeeze her face in distaste 

"well aren't you the unhappy soul" the ghost replied sarcastically hinting at Nalani's skin color which was already paler than most pale people would see as pale she was mostly skin white which caused all her emotions to show and anger certainly was one of them as she was sprouting a very red blush face 

"Are you happy? They have found your body you would get the wonderful burial you desire and now you can go to the world beyond things worked out for you " Nalani spoke 

"But I had in the process caused you problems that which I did not intentionally create but you are right my body shall be given its last burial rights in two days after which I shall cross on thank you Nalani " the ghost girl replied 

"I hope you find peace ghost girl "Nalani spoke 

"Although it is against the rules of the in-between I shall do it my name is Marcia I believe that we have gone past the stage of first names I shall repay you, Nalani maybe in the afterlife " Marcia spoke as she faded away into nothingness.

Nalani stated at the spot where Marcia had been for a while until all most all of the woods had turned dark she hissed in displeasure taking to her feet she walked towards the outline of trees the night was beginning to set in. she admired the cottages which lined up most parts of the forest children and parents were a few as many had retired for the evening hasten the steps she headed for her cottage with the utmost haste. Arriving at her home she took to her room piling her clothes in a leather pouch which she and her aunt had purchased earlier during spring although knowing they would never change pack or move anywhere maybe it was foresight truly the Universe was mysterious, gathering up the last of her things she stepped out to the foyer she was going to miss this place and everything around it the solitude it offers. Adding her steps she walked out of the cottage her mother was still on her trip the word would get to her surely of her being a captive to the alpha sighing deeply she shut the door close.

"you are late, you seem to not fear me pup I had given you an order be here before dusk it is already night and you greet me with your presence now" Oliver spoke grabbing unto her arm tightly she struggled to free herself as his breath brushed up her neck he felt the slight shiver which passed through her spine to which he chuckled darkly. She was not as stiff as he thought   

"I am sorry alpha I had hurried as fast as my feet would allow but I had to leave a message for my mother for she is on a trip and would be back soon" Nalani fired back timidly 

"you are causing more problems than solutions healer you are not my guest but a prisoner here do not forget that you shall not eat anything tonight as a punishment you shall also wash the dishes after dinner eaten by the pack do you understand." Oliver's voice rang out 

"yes alpha" Nalani replied 

"Good you are dismissed, you would be shown to your room" Oliver spoke but got no reply from her shaking his head to the door he watched her walk out and shut the door. He relaxed on his chair having her in his office had reduced the itch which had plagued him and now with her being in the same location as him his wolf had stopped pacing in his head so much that Oliver flipped through more pages of the packs accounting files. "was I too harsh with her" 

" We crave for her and you should know more than me considering you're using our human form, not a lot of females have stirred our attractions but this female keeps us restless we have no other half but this female….." Ryder spoke but was interrupted by Oliver

"do not utter such this female would be nothing like our dear mate but I must admit she does pique my curiosity. And my body desires  hers" Oliver spoke 

"well you're doing a pretty lame job at showing you want the female" Ryder challenged 

"Who said anything about wanting her primitive lust is something all male wolves deal with, I harbor no such feelings" Oliver denied blatantly 

"you can keep telling yourself, that till you believe it human" Ryder replied sarcastically to which Oliver closed the mind link.  Lane was trying to converse with him and ignoring it much longer would cause him a severe headache sighing in expiration he opened the mind link to Lane different thoughts flew into his head at once and he growled in protest how can one man talk so much has thought 

"Alpha your attention is needed at the east border, rouges" Lane spoke anxiously.

Oliver got up and ran through the window and shifted mid-air into his wolves he ran to the outline of the pack border he could already see from the sidelines six rouges his men easily outnumbered the wolves he wondered why Lane had called for his attention they seemed to have it under control sighing in annoyance he joined in killing two wolves with his teeth into their throat he stepped back as his men finished off the rest of the intruders shifting into his human form he faced Lane as he rushed forward to speak to his alpha 

"alpha border patrol had spotted them last minute, there is no spotting or scents to track they had moved in totally untraced" Lane spoke

"that is impossible every rogue has a foul stench which follows them everywhere" Oliver countered

"the same was thought by the warriors but they moved in without a scent or trace " Lena spoke following Oliver into his office

"You are to watch the borders and make sure nothing goes out or in until we figure out what is going on is that clear Beta Lane".  Oliver spoke this was not him speaking anymore this was his wolf in alpha mode fully dominated a

"Yes Alpha" Lane replied in submission lowering his head he walked out of the office he almost fell but caught himself as he stumbled upon something looking down he glared at the little female who had probably been eavesdropping on their conversation she appeared to look almost pale like a thief caught red-handed she definitely wasn't a spy but why was she at the door staring intensely at her he watched as she squirmed in fear but yet her eyes said a different story whoever she is she was making his wolf uneasy, shaking his head he walked away.

Nalani looked on at the back of the beta she had many times seen his face while she went out hunting for herbs he would either be patrolling or giving out instructions to the warriors or leading the next hunting expedition he truly was every female's dream of a mate in the pack and she had many times heard them gossip about his sexy body things to which she would blush red about and walk faster in order to remove such ideas from her head she was sure the alpha would have more muscles seeing as he was the leader, not the intimidating kind but the lean kind that made one drool shaking her head of such crude thought about the evil alpha she walked away from the door,  She needed to cleanse her heart.
