Lady Sofia's Jealousy

A few days later, right after Lily's class ended, she was having a hi-tea together with the queen at her garden. Both of them were talking about random things and Lily was so glad that the Queen is getting better now. Not just Lily, all of the royal servants noticed that the Queen has started to smile again.

"Is that true? You met your lecturer together with Nicholas and your face was covered in paint?" laughed the Queen. Even though she was laughing, she still looked so elegant. "Yes, Your Majesty. Ren didn't even tell me I was looking like that." Pouted Lily.

"How silly. Ren never teases someone unless he is really close with that person." said Her Majesty. "He loves you so much my dear…" said the Queen making Lily's blushed. Then, she took a sip of her hot latte. While both of them were having fun with their hi-tea, Mia came towards them.

"Your Majesty, Miss Lily," bowed Mia slightly but still in a polite manner. "You have a guest. It's Lady Sofia…" said Mia.

"Oh well then, let her join our hi-tea too. You wouldn't mind right, Lily?" asked the Queen. Even though Lily was not feeling so comfortable having Lady Sofia around, but to respect the Queen, she has to agree with her. "Yes Your Majesty, no problem." Said Lily with a smile. With that, the Queen ordered Mia to bring Lady Sofia and join their hi-tea.

A few seconds later, Lady Sofia came with Mia. She was wearing a one set skirt with blazer and heels. Her hands were covered with a white lace gloves and her hair was tied into a bun and a hat as an accessories looking so ladylike. She's indeed from the noble family.

Unlike Lily, who just got back from her class and straight away went to meet the Queen. She was just wearing her long loose black pants, white shirt and a pink cardigan. As usual, her long wavy hair was let down. She's not wearing heels. Instead, she wears her black canvas shoes. To be honest, Lily felt so small being there together with her.

"Good evening, Your Majesty and Miss Lily." Greeted Lady Sofia in grace.

"Have a seat, Lady Sofia…" said the Queen. "I was just having a small talk with Lily here and I wonder what brings you here to see me today...." said the Queen as she took a sip of her latte.

"Pardon me for intruding your hi-tea Your Majesty. But I do have something to show you." Said Lady Sofia and looked towards Lily in the most annoying way. Then, she was searching something in her handbag. Both Lily and the Queen was watching her and noticed she took out a few photos and placed it on the table. "Your Majesty should see this." Said Lady Sofia as she raised her eyebrows. "Is that you Lily?" asked the Queen. And yes indeed, it's Lily at the University. *is she spying on me?!* thought Lily as she saw those photos of her.

"And what did you want to show me, Sofia?" asked the Queen.

"Your Majesty, her dress code isn't suitable for a princess nor a queen to be. That's not how a noble lady should dress up." Explained Lady Sofia. "Wearing jeans and sweatshirt? That is so not ladylike." Said Lady Sofia in the most annoying way.

*okay I see where this is coming* thought Lily as she rolled her eyes.

"And what she's wearing now, this is so not proper." Added Lady Sofia.

The Queen was looking at every photos that Lady Sofia showed her but she remain silent.

"Your Majesty, I can explain…" said Lily when suddenly, both Mia and Anna came towards them. "Forgive us Your Majesty, it was our mistake for not dressing up Miss Lily properly." Said Anna. "No. you both, I'm the one who wants to wear this so it's my fault." Said Lily. But still, Your Majesty just remained silent.

"Y-your majesty?" called Lily feeling scared if the Queen mad at her.

"I see no problem in what she's wearing…." Said the Queen suddenly. Lily, Anna and Mia was surprised hearing what the Queen had said. "She's an art visual student. She paints a lot. And you even told me you're working on a project, am it right?" asked the Queen and Lily nodded. "Then of course this kind of attire suits her… I believe wearing skirts and dresses are not comfortable for her… is that true Lily?" asked the Queen again.

"Yes, Your Majesty." Answered Lily and she noticed that Queen smiled at her. "So it's fine for me. Furthermore, girls can wear whatever they like. No need to be fake, just be yourself. If she's comfortable dressing up like that, then I have no objections." Said the Queen as she put down the photos on the table. "Just making sure that it looks presentable, and neat is already enough. Act poised, is a bonus." Smiled the Queen looking at Lily making her smile too.

Lady Sofia who was there watched them in jealousy seeing how the Queen sided with Lily. Your Majesty, I still got one more photo." Said Lady Sofia as she took out another photo and give it to the Queen.

"Here," said Lady Sofia.

Then, before the Queen took the photo from her, someone has snatched away the photo from her hand. The three of them looked up, and it was Ren.

"Ren…" called Lily with a smile feeling happy after a few days of not meeting each other. Ren was just too busy nowadays and it's so hard to meet him. Without saying anything, Ren just stared at the photo. It was a photo of Lily talking to Oliver. "Where did you get this photo?" asked Ren and he sounds mad. "Did you ask someone to follow her?" asked Ren again.

"W-well, whatever it is, can't you see she was talking with that Oliver guy? Probably she planned to kill His Majesty together!" said Lady Sofia and that makes everyone shocked to hear it. "What? No I do not. You know nothing about the relationship I had with Oliver." Said Lily trying to defend herself.

"Pardon me Your Majesty, I was thinking that maybe Lily is cheating on Nicholas… this photo just proved it." said Lady Sofia. However, the Queen who was there stays silent and looked at both Ren and Lily. "is that so? Then I need to hear an explanation from Lily too." Said the Queen.

"Mother…" said Ren but the Queen just stays smile. Judging from it, Ren knows that his mother trusts Lily and him.

"Well Your Majesty, first of all Oliver used to have a crush on me but that was during my junior year. The truth is, I have rejected him and him still trying to get me. Recently before all these things happened, I told him I'm engaged to Ren but he refused to acknowledge me and still chasing me. Therefore, Lucas and Ren did helped me a lot to make me stay away from him. Both Lucas and Ren and have met him and he knows about it. I have never been involved with him about His Majesty murder case. I swear." Explained Lily.

From her voice, Ren knows that she was about to cry. So he went near her and brought her near him and caressed her arms gently telling her that it's okay.

"Such a liar." Said Lady Sofia as she rolled her eyes.

"What makes you think that I lied? You can ask both Ren and Lucas because they know." Said Lily.

"Your Majesty-" but before Lady Sofia could say anything, the Queen has cut off her words. "Sofia, I believe what Lily has told us just now. And it's the truth. Because both Ren and Lucas has told me everything." Said the Queen.

"W-what?" asked Lady Sofia. She looked like a fool now. "You don't have to try so hard to be my daughter in-law because my future daughter in-law have been chosen by son." Smiled the Queen looking at Lily.

"Y-your Majesty-" said Sofia and again, the Queen has cut her lines again.

"I guess my hi-tea has ended and I need to go somewhere tonight… Lily and Nicholas, both of you can enjoy your dinner together." Said the Queen as she stands up.

"Sofia, you can go home now and send my regards to your parents." Said the Queen as she left the garden. Once the Queen left, the only one who left in the garden are Ren, Lily and Lady Sofia.

"urghh!" annoyed Lady Sofia as she stomped her feet while walking away. "I thought she told me to be more ladylike, but stomping her feet isn't ladylike at all!" laughed Lily. Oh how Ren loves her laughter.

"I miss you…" said Ren suddenly and gave her a tight hug.

"I miss you more…" said Lily and hug him back.

Once Lady Sofia's home, she stomped her feet all the way from the hallway to their big dining room. She saw both of her parents are having a dinner together.

"Daddyyy I've tried but it won't work. The old Queen doesn't even care about the photo that I showed her. She trusts that fake girl a lot. As for Ren, he doesn't even look at me! So howww" whined Lady Sofia in the most annoying way.

"Then I guess we should do in the hard way…" said Sir Luis. "I can't wait any longer. I need to get the throne and we'll be rich!" said Sir Luis. "Do you have a plan?" asked Madam Rose. "Of course I have~" answered Sir Luis as he smiled in mischievously.

"Good job for today Sofia… that's okay, let me do it this time~" said Sir Luis.

"urghh whatever daddy, I'm going upstairs to take a shower. I'm meeting my friend later." Said Lady Sofia as she left the dining hall and went upstairs.
