We are eating our breakfast with this mysterious priest. They have been chatting non-stop for almost 30 mins, while I'm secretly observing the priest sitting at my left side. He looks like a good person, he even do have a graceful smile that can make your day complete. His not like any other Higher tires, his not even picky of what he eats, he even surprising enjoyed eating potatoes with his bare hands without worrying about his soft hands getting dirty.
I can't helped but wonder, are there any high ranks like him who will befriend a covenant like us?
Is he a bad guy?
What are his motives?
What does he want from us? we barely got nothing.
The more I think of it, the more it doesn't make any sense. It only adds up another question to be answered, and those questions are only can be answered by him or my parents.
I'm drowned in my deep thoughts when the mysterious priest tap my shoulder.
"Hey, are you ok? you've been quite for a long time." he said worriedly. I remain silent.
"I guess she's just adjusting to the situation, Ardent really don't usually meet other people aside from our neighbors, and meeting a new guy must be a huge shock for her." mom said while holding my other hand, she's sitting on my right side and on my front is my father's sit.
"I guess I should apologize for being a house wrecker without any consent." the priest awkwardly said. Should I say something? I don't even know him, is it alright to talk to him?
"No, It's not like that..." I said in a low voice, low voice don't suits me well; i looked like an old dwarf wearing a skirt.
"Then are you sick, sweetheart?" my father ask as he put down his cup of coffee on the table and tap my small head.
The three of them looked at me worriedly.
"Also no..." I said, maintaining a low voice, I somewhat sounds like a drunk old geezer spouting empty rural tales.
"Then why is it?" the priest ask, his quite talkative than I thought, I should not let his energetic vibe overwhelmed me or else my whole energy circulating from my little body will be consumed in just mili seconds.
I sighed as I faced them straightforward. "Because mom said I should not make any unnecessary noise for she mistook you for being a crazy crack head higher tire who always wear ridiculous long coats with matching tan skin and tattoos on their necks just awhile ago." I sarcastically said, a stupid joke came from a 6 year old girl.
All of them are speechless, they looked at each other and then burst out their laughter in a equal timing. They must be really a good buddies, I wonder how did they know each other.
"OH MY GRACIOUS ARDENT!!! HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH." my mother can't stop laughing and hit her both hands on her lap a couple of times.
"I thought you eat too much potatoes and it lets you not to speak your limitless kiddie talks!" my father second the motion while scratching his forehead.
"Well I'm a high tire and unfortunately I'm also a crazy crack head dude... but who said that this girl can't go with the flow of our conversation?! This little girl is definitely the most entertaining kid I ever met, you exceed every higher ranks expectations, with that I salute you!" the priest said while putting his hand in his forehead to salute me.
"Do higher ranks like you likes to fool around?" I innocently ask, then grab a piece of sweet potato.
and again their laughter filled the whole house.
"ahhh... O MY BELOVED GOD! I LOVE THIS KID!" the priest exclaim while wiping his teary eyes.
"I'm sorry, but I'm not interested in any old guys...and also.... you're a priest remember?!" I said while chomping a small bite of sweet potato and holding my glass of milk.
and again.... they burst out of laughter, I'm kinda irritated but I just thought that elderlys really needs to cope with stress or else they'll die immediately, I'll just consider this event once for I am really concern about their health.
They talked for hours as we finished our meal. My parents are pleased of the sudden visit of Fr. Monteverde, I heard them talking about the past but I remembered what does my mom said to me; that I should not listen and blend in with the elderly's chitchats.
I left them happily chatting at the kitchen, I don't want to disturb their little reunion. I go outside the house with my bunny toy and walk towards the big tree near our house, I climbed through its wide branches and sit over the top while letting my bunny toy hang on the other side, if my calculations are correct this tree is not higher than 50 ft.
I silently listen to the soft whisper of the wind as it pass through my direction that lets the big tree sway, it makes the leaves and branches converge with each other, like a beautiful girl dancing gracefully on the dance floor. I can't forget the color of the blue sky that reflects like a diamond, the orange leaves that is scattered through the streets, the calm chirping of birds and the lovely view of the small houses from the top of a big tree while I imagine impossible things to be possible.
As I'm in my deep thoughts a creek sound from one of the branches startled me, I turned around and saw one of my neighbor's kid. He is uncomfortably hanging at one of the branches as he tries to lift his skinny body up. I just carelessly looked at him while he is suffering from his stupidity.
"Uhhhmmm... care to help me here?" he hopelessly say.
"Why would I?!" I replied, his face is turning red as he tries to lift his body without stepping on anything. I remain silent.
"Uhhhhh... pleaweeesss hewwwwwp meeee (please help me.)" he said as he tries not to fall over a 50 ft. old tree, a misery of a small kid fighting for his survival.
