Venus was living comfortably in her new world as the daughter of the noble chieftain. Her world was turned upside down when the King of Wolves announced his intention to abdicate and retire in favor of his heir and only child, the Crown Prince. During the coronation, the king desired to give his son, the new king, women from various noble houses as concubines. Their Chief Scout had received the letter, which her father was now reading. She didn't want to be a concubine to the king. But she was aware that her father was the king's liege, and that he would obey the king's command. Hundreds of beautiful women paraded in front of the new king to be chosen as the high rank concubines. She tried her hardest to appear mediocre and kept her appearance simple yet modest. But, to her dismay, the decision had already been made based on family influence rather than their abilities, intelligence, or even beauty. Her father was the most powerful chieftain of the north, and she was chosen as one of the king's five high ranking concubines. Venus was uninterested in carrying out her responsibilities as one of the king's wives. She will go to any length to avoid the king. She intended to return to her world, the future, but how would she do so? The link between her current world and her original world had already been severed. In her world, she was a pure blood wolf and the best wolf huntress, but here, she's a second rate wolfless among the the wolves. The new king discovers her and realizes she is his mate, but the king has already made the evil witch from the East his queen. She set her up and was exiled to the Northern gate, where the undead wolves attacked the border. The border situation deteriorated, and the king paid a visit to his troops. He came across his exiled wife fighting the enemies and was applauded by all of his warriors. But when the king rejected and exiled her, the love she felt for him turned into hatred and the mate's bond vanished. Venus despised the king for the injustice she had experienced. What will become of them. What if her secret was discovered? That she was altered, with the witch and wolf's genes engineered and interlaced with the brain computer and implanted in her brain. The agency that created her became terrified of the most advanced weapon they had created throughout wolf and human history, which they had embedded in her. They decided to get rid of her. She escaped and entered this wolf's primitive parallel world full of magic.
"Allow him to come here. I'm not going to climb that wall. I'm going to look so stupid," she grumbled. "When you jumped from the garden tower, the highest tower in this palace, the king already thought you were stupid. When you were busy inside the dungeon, his hunters had already surveyed the water. The queen has also sent out scouts to look for you. You'll be dead if they find you first," she said.
"How did the queen find out I was missing? she asked, perplexed.
"The king was furious when he found out she punished me in front of you. He even checked on me on your tower and was horrified by all the fake wounds and blood. He assumed you jumped from his garden tower because you were traumatized. The queen was enraged, and the king had never been mad at her before. Beware, you've turned her into your adversary today. She believes she fell victim to your scheme, and her pride refuses to accept it. When you return, expect a vengeful queen."
"Are you telling me to be more dramatic, like climbing that wall to attract attention?"
"You're thinking now, darling, you need sympathy especially now that the queen noticed you. A woman sometimes win the game by playing a victim" she said. "You won't be starting from scratch. See that window about 20 meters away from the garden tower? I'll close the window because if you can't open it, you'll stand there grasping the edge like you're holding for your life," Lilet said.
"You know what? I believe I need to alter your program. I don't like how you picture things. It's creepy," she said, but she had already been whisked away to the small window through teleport. The window has narrow space that can be seated on. Someone was yelling down below, and she knew it had something to do with Lilet. Instead of just hanging herself there to make their show more interesting. She made her way to the garden tower as she climbed.
She smirked as she turned to see the exterminator yelling at her in a horrified tone, telling her to stay still or someone would come after her. Venus purposefully let her hands slip as she turned, causing her to fall several meters before she could grasp a jutting rock. When the exterminator cursed her and howled loudly, she almost laughed.
If they only knew how much she enjoyed herself.... If she falls into the water, she will survive because the impact will not kill her. She had been altered, and she was as hard as iron. Her grip was firm, and she could hang there for days. She remained in her position so as not to test the king's patience, until the king himself went dawn through the rope and took her by the waist as he carried her climbing back to the garden tower.
Lilet was as efficient as usual, creating fake bruises on her arms, hands, and feet. She closed her eyes as she awaited her punishment, which he had previously carried out to her bottom, but she was surprised when the king embraced her so tightly that if she were a regular human, her bones would be hurt as his tight embrace nearly crushed them.
She opened her eyes and stared at him, completely baffled. Perhaps her punishment would come later, she reasoned. He gently shook her this time. "We've looked everywhere for you. Where have you been all this time? How did you get to that part of the wall? I saw you landed on the water," he made rapid questions, touching the smudges on her brow.
"The waves were turbulent, I may not survive if I stay there. I made the decision to scale the wall. I rested when I reached the suspended concrete of the small window. I tried to open the window, but it was shut. I stayed and fell asleep... and..."
"Did you fall asleep in that small space?: He exclaimed, stunned.
"Why? I was exhausted, my feet and arms ached, and I was exhausted. I tried to scream for help, but the wind kept my voice from coming out until my throat ached. She hushed her voice. "I need to go now, I need to rest," she pretended not to recognize him.
"What made you jump?" he asked.
"I thought you were going to punish me like you did before," she claimed. "It was embarrassing. I just witnessed the punishment of my personal maid. You're all barbarians here. You were abusing your power, only the king can punish me" she pretended to be angry as well.
"So you chose to jump rather than face me? Besides, you're only a maid you told me so." He yelled angrily.
"I'm a good swimmer who enjoys being in the water. We only have running water in the north for three months of the year, during the summer. I never thought your water here was harsh," she groaned, hoping the king would accept all of her answers. "You're right I'm only am a maid but you still don't have the right to touch me. I belong to someone," she said it again, still not condescending about the truth.
"Soon, I will take all the rights to have you," he replied.
Venus was suddenly alarmed, she didn't want to be completely a king's woman.
"I'm leaving now to thank you for saving my life. I'm not coming back, I'll stay in my room and will never cause any trouble again," she said.
To her relief, the king nodded, but his scowl remained "You can come here anytime you want. Only two people entered this place," he said.
"The queen?" she asked. "No, the queen was unaware of this location," he replied. She smiled as she realized she was the only one who had entered his sanctuary. Perhaps this location was special to him, which is why he was enraged when someone intruded on his privacy. She nodded and proceeded to the hidden door. The king stood there watching her as she walked slowly towards the door.
When she shut the door and entered the dim secret corridor. Lilet transported her away to her tower. She didn't want the queen's maids or scouts to find her. She prefers dry bathing on the spacecraft to traditional bathing in her private bathhouse. A dry bath can be completed in seconds to a minute without the use of water. She simply entered the bathing capsule naked and selected the bath she desired. If she presses normal, a regular air smoke with a normal temperature will appear and surround her body. If she pressed the special bath button, a warm air perfumed smoke will appear to clean her body and soften her skin with added skin moisturizer. She activated the special bath.
Venus was getting dressed when she was taken to her bedchamber. She was only wearing a camisole and she was alarmed. She was not prepared to confront the king. She instructed Lilet to increase her body temperature in preparation for feigning illness. Lilet's physical body couldn't come to her because her android maid was also pretending to be traumatized by the queen's punishment, but Lilet was always with her via their communication device.
She had never been such a coward and liar, but she needed to be because she was not truly prepared to face him. She was concerned that the king would impose marital obligations on her. As she pulled the blanket over her almost naked body, she felt her body temperature rise.
When the door opened, she closed her eyes. Venus detects the king's strong, familiar scent. He seemed to be watching her. She then felt his breath close to her ear. "You smell so good, my goddess," he said quietly. She reacted by moaning as if in pain.
He cursed and yelled for his assistant when he touched her cheeks and felt her high body temperature. "Bring the healer right now!" he commanded.
She had not anticipated his next move. When he saw the sexy white silk camisole, he groaned loudly and removed the blanket. Lilet reassured her that the device had caused the same bruises on her legs and arms as before. She sighed in relief as the king returned the blanket and groaned in pain once more.
The healer arrived and examined her. After a few moments, the healer stated that the fever was caused by her stress, trauma, and exhaustion. The healer added that she needed to be monitored. She directed her maids to apply a cold compress to her body in order to reduce her fever. She just listened to everything that was going on.
She expected the king to leave her, but to her surprise, he stayed and told the maid to prepare a cold compress and he would do it himself.
She was on the verge of panicking when the king's assistant announced that the queen wanted to see him and check on her while she was waiting outside.
She felt relieved once more; she didn't want the king to remain by her side. But it struck her how quickly the queen was aware of her condition. She considered the possibility that one of her maids was the queen's spy, one of the king's assistants, or the healer.
Again, the queen was surprised when the king declined her request. "Tell the queen I'll see her tomorrow," he said as he placed the cold cloth on her brow. She flinched as she was taken aback by the coldness. "Easy, my goddess," he said softly.
"The queen has left, Your Majesty," said the royal assistant. "Ask her personal maid tomorrow if my favorite has a personal healer, and she will attend to her. If there are none, summon the king's healer and ensure he followed protocol," he said.
The king was very clever and she almost smiled. She recalled her lies; what if the king can spot a liar? She shook her head, and the king's hand flew to her brow. She ordered Lilet to lower her body temperature to near normal after an hour. She expected the king to leave her, but he did not. She stayed with her, much to her surprise. "Sleep my goddess," he said as he lay beside her and drew her into his embrace.
