The Surprise Visitors

The whole clearing was surrounded. Sia panicked and looked at the men in front of her. At this part of station, no one was allowed to attack fellow creatures, unless the creature went rogue. This was the rule set by the organizations working hard to bring Svarga Nagari back to life. There were certain coordinates, that they ascertained as drop off and pick up points on Svarga Nagari, that were to be kept peaceful for the sake of all space travelers. The organization was a powerful one, with mysterious origins, thus no one was able to refute this law. Thus it was a relief to some extent.

Sia instinctively hid herself behind Purushottam and his team. The moment the visitors came into view, they were humans but from an unknown space station. They wore suits of purple and black colors and there was a conspicuous golden waist belt for each one of them, making it look like a special uniform of a particular organization. There were twelve of them that surrounded the small group Sia was taking refuge in. The men had stern expression on their faces.

The boys took a defensive stance as they saw Purushottam looking flustered on the appearance of these strangers. Seeing their always calm 'Guruji' agitated for the first time made them stay at high alert mode, even if they were in no-fighting zone. It seems like Purushottam knows something about the people in uniform.

One of the twelve men started speaking in fluent Sikong, "You dwellers of Suvarnarekha, what are you doing with our prey?". Everyone was shocked. Team Purushottam did not have the slightest idea who this prey was referred to. Was it Sia? Was it the animals? Or was it both?

Purushottam asked in a cold voice, "What do you mean is your prey?". The guy who spoke frowned at this. He was clearly getting agitated. He said, "Do not intervene in our research work with the animals. Give us back the huge pile that the girlie is trying to hide. Or else you will be held responsible by the organization. Don't think you will be able to oppose us so easily."

It seemed that this bunch of animals were goners and had no way to be saved any more. In the mean while, Sia was panicking, since she did not understand Sikong and her universal language translator seemed to be broken. She was looking terrified to the point of fainting. Purushottam looked at the girl and felt immense pity for the little one. He looked at her and told her that the men wanted the animals which she brought along and that the best chance the animals got was to be given to these men since he did not have the means to purify them.

When the guy who spoke to them just now heard the word 'purify' he sneered, to everyone's surprise. It seemed that the intention of these people were not really noble. Purushottam looked at the men and asked again, "Does your experiment means harm to these creatures? Even if you are part of Huaxia Forte, you are not allowed to harm the surviving flora and fauna of Svarga Nagari. Hope you haven't forgotten the rules!"

The man from Huaxia Forte squinted his eyes and then let out a myriad laughter. "We are not allowed to tell you about our research content. It is none of your business what we do with these already half dead animals you tree huger!". His reply made it clear what they intend to do.

While everyone was talking, there seemed to be some patrollers who arrived at the location of the fiasco. It seems that previously when Purushottam was discussing the intentions of Sia, he had sent for a signal, which would help him wrap up the situation of cleansing such a huge amount of animals. The patrollers all wore grey uniform with a huge emblem of the organization that is responsible for the maintenance of the planet.

The men in purple seeing the patrollers were taken aback. They decided not to press the issue anymore and left without even looking back at the prey. The poor villains could not even act villainous and give our heroes a threat, since whichever language they used universal translator would let the patrollers in on their motives.

One of the patrollers, who was a human lady in her late 40s, asked Purushottam what the matter was and why his device released the help call. Purushottam showed the animals within the net and told them about the incident where they came across these animals and wanted to purify them of the contamination. He also mentioned about the issue that the Huaxia Forte caused them and told the patrollers to keep an eye. The status of Purushottam was a bit elevated as a key member of Holy warriors of Souryalaya. Thus the patrollers took his report and passed it onto the nearest station without even further verification.

Sia looked at Purushottam to try to understand what exactly took place and why instead of the Purple guys the patrollers took the animals. Purushottam slowly explained everything to Sia once the Patrollers were gone and they were left alone in wilderness again.

Purushottam then told everyone to gather in his tent as he wanted to know the whole situation with Sia and also proceed with their actual mission without wasting much time.
