Chi Yue stood by the kitchen window for a moment before heading out the door.
The wind on the day of the Winter Solstice was somewhat cool, and the temperature in the suburbs was lower than in the city. When the gate of the courtyard was pushed open, a rush of cold air poured in.
Shao Zhiheng entered the door together with the chilly breeze.
Qiao Dongyang was waiting there, apparently having received prior notice, "Mr. Shao, please come in!"
His expression was indifferent, but Shao Zhiheng was all smiles, "Mr. Qiao, long time no see."
Their handshake was firm, squeezed tightly, then released.
Chi Yue smoothed her hair and approached with a smile, "Shao is here?"
Qiao Dongyang glanced at her, his chin lifted slightly, and he said nothing, while Shao Zhiheng was still smiling.
"Here I am. How long has it been since I've seen you guys? I heard your place hosts parties every day, yet you never invited me."
