Chapter 33: Berserk Mode?

I was out of myself after what happened. All I know, is that I started punching and tearing that man apart. I didn't even think anymore. Yeah, I know that there are still children who can see me, but I don't care anymore.

"YOU DARE HURT MY FAMILY?! THEN DIE!" Was all I could shout as I continued to tear the man apart. I used my wand, turned it into a sword and stab it many times at the man in front of me.

After seeing blood all around him and me, I looked at the other one and he was about to escape, when I quickly went to him and held him by the neck. "Where do you think you're going?" I glared at him and he looked pale. As white as... I don't know~

"Please let me go! I'll do what you want! I didn't mean to do that to your mother! Please! I'm begging you!" He pleaded, but the feeling I have right now is not a good one. I don't think I can forgive them.

I then held his hair and clenched it, making him scream in pain, and with no other words~ pulled it out with his head like it was slashed, even though, I just used my hand. Blood quickly flowed and stained the area.

"AAARGH! HEEELP!" I heard some of the children shouting at our door, while the others cried.

And because of this, I... Walked towards them. "Please don't hurt us! We're begging you please!" He said and cried more.

But I continued walking towards them, until I was near enough for them to hear...

I kneeled and looked down. My tears started to flow. My voice started to crack as I release both my sadness and anger.

"I'm sorry I couldn't save you! I'm sorry to scare you! I'm sorry if I-" I stopped halfway and cried again. I don't know what to say next. My mind is so damn broken, I can't think of words to say.

But just then, I felt warm hugs on me. And it made me surprised. So I looked at the kids just to see all of them giving their best hugs to me.

"Thank you for saving us mam! Sorry if we acted scared earlier. We were just surprised." One of the girls said, and it made me feel soft for a bit.

"I know how you feel. Sorry if I acted berserk earlier." I apologised and then we all stand straight. I walked towards Oracle Ban and tried to wake her up. But she didn't answered. In fact, when I examined her pulse, there were none. So... I just cried again while trying my best to lift her up. "We need help! We need to get out of here, and fast!" I said and everyone agreed. Two of them ran outside quickly and tried to scream for help. "Stop that! There might be some enemies still lurking around!" I warned them all, making the two run towards me and the others close.

"We need to call for help! Or else we won't be able to escape quickly." Said one of the boys.

"Halt! In the name of Dawn Empire's Queen! I demand you to stay put!" I heard a familiar sound of armor clanking. It was a palace guard!

"Thank goodness! Please help us! My teacher is dead! And the kids need help!" I pleaded and when he looked at us, he called for the others to help us flee the place.

It was successful to be honest. But the only thing that made me sad was seeing Oracle Ban's body lifeless.

"Out of all things to see when I come back... Why this?!" I panickly thought. And then I remembered... "She wasn't with Granger?! Where is he?!" I was about to go out of the carriage to go back, when the soldier stopped me.

"I have to go back! I still need to search for one person! I know he's just in there, hiding! Please!" I said, but they didn't let me.

"We will just send some guards there! It's too dangerous for you and the kids!"

"I'll just be the one to go! And besides, I know how to use magic! I came from Genesis Academy, and I am here to help the empire!"

"How can you even do that? You're waste and shoulder has bruises in them." He said and I was surprised to see that he was right. I do have bruises. But I didn't noticed them until now. Weird~

"Please! I'm begging you! He's the only family that I have left! I don't want to loose him too!" I started to cry and looked at the children. I went near them and hold them closely. "Promise me that you'll stay strong no matter what, okay?" They all started to tear up as I let them all go, and started to jump out of the carriage.

"Hey! Don't-!" The guard tried to stop me, but I already got out of the car and pointed my wand to them.

"Take care of them for me okay?" I said and let out a spell, making the disappear out of my sight.

I then went back to the house in search of Granger. "Granger?! Are you here? Please answer me!" I called out, but no answer came. So I went up the stairs to the second floor. Opened every door, just to see an empty ones.

"Where could he be?!" I asked panickly as I look around again. "They must have took him with them!" I thought and ran outside as fast as I can. I saw five enemies lurking around, so I approached them.

"Please! Tell me where you've taken my friend!" I said, but they started to shoot. Making me have no choice but to kill them with my magic.  I made the grass as sharp as a new knife and stab them all with it.

"I don't want to hurt anyone! Just tell me where he is!" I begged, but everytime I see an enemy, it doesn't have other things to do but try to kill me. Making me do it to them first.

It continued to go on that way, until I couldn't contain my anger anymore. I killed everyone of them. Every enemy spotted on the streets. Either I freeze them to death, carve them up, stab them with my sword or use the nature against them.

"For the last time now... Where is he?" I asked madly at the man in front of me.

"Please don't hurt me! I don't really know! I'm begging you!" But no. They already made me reach my limit. I can't stop now. I need to do this.

I stab his throat as hard as I can, making the blood spew out of it. Then, I heard none. Everyone around me is already dead. I was left alone.
