It was finally Christmas day. Cianne had all but driven herself mad about Tristan's gift. It's too late now. You have to live with your choice, she said to herself as she got out of bed.

After she polished herself up for the day, she went to the kitchen and prepared a nice breakfast for her father. When he came downstairs the table was set and Cianne was placing their food on plates.

"Looks good," he smiled, then kissed her on the cheek, "Merry Christmas, Buttercup."

"Merry Christmas, Dad," she said as she leaned into him.

Cianne handed her father the syrup for his pancakes and sat down across from him. She watched as he took his first bite. When a smile lit across his face, she decided it was ok for her to eat. They ate in silence for a few minutes then her father cleared his throat.

"So how long has it been now since your last vision?"
