They drove to her house in virtual silence, just like they'd driven to Tristan's house. It seemed he didn't speak as much when he drove, so Cianne figured she shouldn't either. When he pulled his car in front of her house, she decided to ask him something that had been bothering her.
"Why did you think I dated college guys?" she asked before he could exit the vehicle.
Tristan had taken his seat belt off and was opening his door. He sat back in the seat but left his door slightly open. "I guess everyone figured you were into older guys because you never said yes to any of us high school guys who've asked you on dates. You've been seen with some college guys too."
"Ah," she said as she nodded, "I used to tutor some of the students at Kennecott University for my volunteer credits." She took off her seatbelt and turned to face him.
"It's ok for us to sit here for a few minutes then?"
