Cassie gripped Barbie's shoulders, forcing her to focus. "Listen, you're strong, Barbie. If you love Mark, you need to trust that he'll understand. And if his parents don't, that's on them. You've got nothing to be ashamed of."
Barbie swallowed hard, nodding slightly but still looking unsure. "You're right… but I can't shake this feeling."
Cassie gave her a reassuring squeeze. "We'll get through this. Just go out there, do the performance, and then we'll figure it out afterward. You've worked too hard to let this moment break you."
Barbie hesitated for a long moment, staring at the stage. Then, with a deep breath, she nodded. "Okay… I'll do it. But I'm keeping my head low. If they notice me… I'm out."
