Kira found herself bombarded with doubts as a series of questions ran through her mind. "Are they really together?" she wondered aloud, her uncertainty evident in her voice.

"Yeah, Lucas told me," Kira lied, trying to sound convincing.

"I really thought she was with Lucas," Melody chimed in.

"No, she isn't, okay? She's not his type," Kira snapped at Melody, her frustration palpable.

"What makes you think so? I mean, she's really pretty and sexy, and those are the type of girls Lucas likes," Melody blurted out, causing Kira's frown to deepen.

"And what do you know about the type of girls Lucas likes?" Kira barked at her, her anger simmering.

"I might not know, but I'm definitely sure you're not his type," Melody giggled, provoking Kira further.

"What did you just say, bitch?" Kira seethed, her teeth clenched and her eyes filled with rage.
