Chapter 1 .Jack Smith

"Boss, I think you should go and rest a little, you're drunk."

Bernard who was Jack Smith's most trusted body guard cautioned his master.

  "No Ben, I... I think I've been drugged." Jack managed to voice out. The pain was obvious in his voice and his every expression. This was not the first time he encountered something like this. Being the richest man in the country came with a lot of enemies and being drugged was the most common way which his enemies attack, just to get something to destroy his reputation.

  "Ben. Contact your team and look into this matter now". He said still struggling, "I will make sure I punish who....."

  "...Boss I understand, I'll make sure I inform them". Ben wisely interrupted, to save his boss some breath. As thoughtful as he was he continued, "but please... should I... bring a woman... I mean..."

  "Don't worry, I'll be fine. I'm used to this. I can endure it".

Jack Smith, 30 years old, very handsome, dangerous and rich . As the CEO of Smith Groups, nothing less was expected.

  "Don't be nervous, I've seen through your lies". Jack said as he struggled to stand on his feet. Standing errect and avoiding Ben's eyes he continued, "I know the pressure you're under, so I'll forgive you this time."

  "Wh… what do you mean boss ." Ben stammered in utter shock, with confusion painted across his face.

  "You know it… Haha". Jack's loud laughter filled the silent room. By now he was almost at the door. "How can I get drugged in my own house. Hmm... interesting..."

With Jacks departure, the confusion on Ben's face bacame severe and so did his heartbeat heightened. Of course Jack could easily tell Ben was the one who drugged him.

Jack's  Grandmother has always been a question mark to him. This was one of the reasons Jack stayed away from any feminine relationship. He knew women were not to be trusted,but his Grandmother just won't let him be. Bernard left Jack's study room and went to meet Grandma at the sitting room. The moment she spotted Bernard she stood up,

  "Hey Benie, come here..  is the drug working?"

  "Mrs.. em grandma it's just that he caught us today too "

  "But he drunk it right... The drug must be working"

  "Yes he drunk it but.. "

  "So .. he's asking for a woman to spend the night with right?". Grandma Vero questioned with joy on her face. Jack's Grandmother has done everything in her power to help her son settle down but her grandson wasn't cooperative so this is the reason she planned with Ben to drug him . So that she will have a grandchild to play with , and a heir for the Family even if her grandchild doesn't want to get married. She had already prepared a beautiful and decent girl from a good family for this.

  "Grandma calm down…" Ben drew closer and tried comforting the old woman. "Well, all he said was, he doesn't need any woman. But that doesn't mean he's into men . "

Grandma Vero sat down finally and sighed. It was obvious something bothered her greatly.

  "But Grandma…" Ben interrupted the old lady's thoughts."I'm sorry, I might not be able to help you again", he announced. "You know I'm his most trusted person and I don' want him to..."

  "...don't worry, my son." Grandma Vero's weak low tone cut into Ben's whining. "I understand my dear Benie, you are free to go back to whatever you have to do, I have bothered you enough". Her voice slowly grew waek and she sounded more relaxed. "I'm just a desperate old woman worried and don't know what to do anymore. I'm beginning to doubt his sexual preference. I don't think I'm ever going to play with my future grand children".

The Old lady's tone was different this time. It exposed her emotional state and Ben could not stand it.

"Don't cry grandma you shouldn't worry much, boss will never disappoint you please remember you're not in good health. "

"Don't worry Benie I'm fine". Turning to a lady on her left, "Just help me to my room Cynthia."

Cynthia, Grandma Vero's personal maid rushed quickly to her mistress side to do what was expected of her.
