As Chris pulls up to take us to the safe house, Candy and I exchange a glance, steeling ourselves for what's ahead.
Once in the car, Chris asks how our meeting with Sophia went. Candy takes a deep breath and starts.
"Sophia was surprisingly cooperative. She gave us some crucial information."
I nod, adding.
"We need to act fast."
He finally says,
"Jack's been one step ahead of us for too long. We can't afford to let these leads go cold."
Candy agrees, saying,
"We should also be cautious. Sophia seemed genuine, but there's always a risk she's leading us into a trap."
Chris nods, his eyes fixed on the road,
"We'll proceed with caution. For now, let's focus on verifying these leads. If there's any chance of finding Jack, we need to take it."
The car falls silent again, each of us processing the new information and gearing up for the next phase of our search.
