Chapter 7

Tyron's POV

Shit. What is that girl's problem? People are talking about the kiss that happened last night. They want some answers from me if Gretzel and I are together.

I did not say anything. If they want to think something about us then let them be. I don't want to explain myself. Gretzel made that move so she should explain why she did that.

After my wife got home yesterday I left Gretzel there at the Hotel. I didn't take her but I had Gin take him back to her condo. I hate it here right now. I still haven't talked to her until now.

' Mr. President the board members are now in the meeting room. You're the only one everyone is waiting for '

'okay'

I stood up and fixed my tux. I walked out of my office and Gin opened the door for me. I just nodded to him before going inside.

The participants in this meeting immediately stood up when they saw me. I gave a signal for them to sit down. I looked at the folders in front of me. This is about what my new company will be.

' Mr. President, there's a lot of companies that want to get shares in the Big Project, will we give them?'

'Yes, Mr. President that's one. Other companies are having a competition about this case '

I looked at them. Competition? I stared at them silently and I just realized that they were already sweating. For me this is normal. I am their boss and I know they fear me too.

Gin told me once that 'I'm intimidating' maybe because they don't see me smiling and being serious all the time. Well, my wife is the only one I show emotions to.

'Okay. Call every company and tell them that if they're interested in the project then send one of their BEST representatives and let them attend the meeting for this '

' But Sir, do we have our own Best Interior Designer? why find one?? '

I pinch the bridge of my nose to let them know that I hate repeating and explaining myself. He bowed down and silenced himself for what I wanted. Good. They should know that I'm always their boss.

'Just tell them '

I said and stood up. I reluctantly left the meeting room and let Ria dismiss them. I went straight to my office and sat on the swivel chair.

I'm sure Scarlet will do everything to get that project. That's their dream and I'm not gonna help her to reach it.

Scarlet's POV

I was staring out the window of our office. It's only up to the 5th floor. This is where I went straight after I got home from the hospital.

I'm still a bit floaty because of the events in my life. I was surprised when Hannah approached me. I looked at his worried face.

''What happened to you? It's like you've been charged by your debtors''

She says. I just shook my head at her and smiled slightly. She smiled at me.

'Let's have ice cream?'

Suddenly she agreed. I thought about it. I didn't have anything to do so I nodded which made her happy.

'Let's go'

We happily got off the building and went to the opposite side where there is a 7/11. We entered and find a table first. She pointed when she saw and we approached the empty table.

''I will buy and it's my treat''

She says. I would have whined because I have money but she doesn't let me. She insisted and I just let her go to the counter.

It only took a few minutes and she brought one liter of Ice cream and a slice of bread.

''Hannah, I hope you bought small ice creams because obviously, we can't finish it all.''

I said. She really spent more. She just smiled at me and gave me the spoon and cup she borrowed. She sat across from me.

''Chill Ma'am, it looks like you're stressed, so tell me to reduce your feelings''

I didn't say a word and just watched as she put ice cream on her slice of bread. I hesitated if I should say it but I was so close to her that I took a deep breath and smiled at her.

' Actually, I don't have any problem--'

'Ma'am Scarlet, you can trust me '

She says. I just sighed and bit into a slice of bread. Stress Eating. I swallowed before speaking.

"It's about my sister Hannah, it's hard to find a heart donor..and the longer it takes, the weaker her body gets'

I said sadly. She stared at me. I bet she can see the sadness in my eyes. It's the first time I can tell someone about my sister, I haven't told my boss yet and I don't have the plan to say anything because it's not very important, but I know they will support me when they see me struggling.

'' Oh Ma'am, it's really difficult. But just trust in the Lord, I know he will not abandon us."

''I know and I trust Him, but I'm also discouraged because I feel like I know what's going to happen and that's what I still can't accept''

She held my hand as I stared into her eyes. Her face is very relaxed.

'' Just pray and trust Him. ''

She said to me seriously.

''Thank you, Hannah''

I told her sincerely. She winked at me and ate the ice cream.

'' By the way, don't call me Ma'am. just Scarlet"

''Eh? I'm used to it Ma'am e–''

''Please. I insist ''

She smiled and nodded. We even talked about anything in which we were both interested. I didn't tell her about the problem between my husband and his sister. That's mine alone.

I just want to enjoy this moment with Hannah. I also learned a lot from her. I can only act like she is my sister. I also became comfortable with her. I hope it happens again.
