Maisy didn't want to be looked down upon by Madeline, but there was nothing she could say to refute her. She lowered her head and stopped talking.
"What do you think?" Madeline knew that she had hit the nail on the head, so she became even calmer.
"What do you mean?" She might not be as rich as Madeline or as prestigious as her, but she knew that she was a mother who could make Lucas happy.
"Don't play dumb with me. I don't think I need your permission anyway."
"I don't agree!" A young voice suddenly came out. Lucas was only eavesdropping because he was afraid that his grandmother would bully his mother. Although he didn't know why they would say these things, he understood what his grandmother meant -- she wanted to take him away, but she wouldn't allow his mother to be with him. "I want to live with my mother!"
Lucas was serious and determined. Maisy couldn't help but cry as she watched. Her beloved child also had a deep bond with her.
