CHAPTER FIFTY-THREE
“Ladybird…..”
This wasn’t the first time she had heard that name before, Annie was sure of it. She had heard it somewhere before but she couldn’t place where she heard it before. Abandoned in a dark room with nothing to eat or drink all day, Annie lay there on the dusty floor, her hopes dashed to the ground as she whimpered. Ever since she was thrown into this dark room, no one had come to look for her or said anything to her.
If this was the so-called ladylike treatment the ladybird talked about then she wasn’t cut out for this. Although she wasn’t expecting any preferential treatment from the same people that abducted her, all she wanted was to get the hell out of that place.
