Drew sat behind his desk with a bunch of paperwork spread out in front of him. He felt like he had an insight into the murder of Jace Mackay, but first; he had to document his current progress and report it to his superiors so they could grant him permission to fall through with his plans. He had a lot of theories concerning the death of Jace Mackay, but for now, he would follow the line of investigation strictly and act like he knew nothing. He would take whoever was responsible by surprise.
It was getting to midnight, but Drew was still at work. He had dismissed the other daytime officers, and he stayed behind with the night shift crew, trying to catch up on everything he could have missed. Even Barry had refused to leave the office with the others when their work time was over, but he had eventually tired himself out and left.
