Sunlight crept in through a slit from the window drapes, and the light struck Kenzie's face. She rolled over and snuggled into her husband's ripped chest to block out the sun's rays. It was a futile effort because she was already wide awake and there was no way she could return to her sleep. She looked at the face of her sleeping husband and she smiled. He slept like he had no care in the world. It was going to take more than sunlight to wake him.
She tried to detach herself from his side after a while, as stealthily as possible to not disturb him. He stirred in his sleep and pulled her even closer, trapping her with his strong and muscular arms.
