As they turned the final corner of the winding forest part, her heart began to race. 

She hadn't been here in years, not since her sister 's death and her grandfather's disappearance, when her grandfather's stories and gentle laughter had filled her days. 

The memories came rushing back. 

Suddenly, the familiar sight of a grand mansion emerged from behind a bend. 

As they drew nearer, her eyes widened, and she felt an overwhelming surge of emotion. 

She turned to him, her eyes wide with disbelief. "Why did you bring me here?" 

Javier parked in front of the house. A smile playing across his lips. "I wanted you to help me with something. You won't mind, will you?" 

"What do you want me to help you with?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly. 

He removed his seat belt, opened the car door, and stepped outside. "I think you should get out of the car, so that I can tell you what I want."
