"But there is no one else here. We were the only ones here since the very start."
Su Xia continued playing along, her expression unchanging. "Where is this fragrance coming from?" she asked.
She thought of the storyteller's words.
"The princess has a guard that has followed her around ever since she was young...This guard is looking for her as well."
This guard must be the only person that can protect her.
Su Xia crept away from the corner of the wall. She pretended to look for something while the remaining four searched around chaotically. She intended to secretly escape.
Right at this moment, she heard Gu Yu's voice. "Come with me," he said.
Without her realization, Gu Yu had made his way toward her. After calling out to her, he grabbed Su Xia's wrist and pulled her away as the server of the shop covered them from sight.
The remaining four realized that both of them were missing after they had left for some time.
Gu Yu brought Su Xia to a small lane.
She had worked it out during their journey here. Based on the way Gu Yu was treating her, he must be the guard that was looking for her all along.
However, Su Xia remained silent.
"Princess!"
Gu Yu kneeled down on one knee. "I have finally found you, Your Highness!" he cried out.
This attention-seeker.
Overcome with shock, Su Xia took two steps back.
She frowned; a look of disgust etched on her face. She waved him off immediately. "Alright, stop spouting nonsense. How did you find out that I am Princess Ming Le?" she asked.
"Do I not understand you well enough?" Gu Yu asked, standing up.
"From the moment we met eyes, I knew that it was you," he said.
"..."
"Why did you think I risked getting beaten up to group the five of you together?" he asked, raising his head up proudly. "After knowing that there was a spy among us, I was afraid that someone would plot against the princess. That is why I did all of this…" he said.
"Despite so, you have your own reasons for doing it," Su Xia cut him off.
She stared straight into his eyes. Her dark eyes seemed to look past all of his nonsensical words. "You just wanted to show off in front of us, right?" she asked.
Gu Yu almost nodded in agreement.
He switched the topic immediately. "What...what are you talking about? We are a team now. We must trust each other, alright! Put away all your prejudice toward me!"
Su Xia did not utter a single word in response.
"Now that I have found you, what should we do next? Do you have any hints?" he asked.
Su Xia thought of what the storyteller said. Everyone is after something under the princess's possession.
She patted her clothes meticulously in front of Gu Yu. She then hit herself on the head suddenly.
"Oh no!" she yelled in despair. "I think I misplaced the hint in Hotel Luna! I must have left it behind at the dining table we sat at when we had our meal!"
Gu Yu was speechless. "Are you a fool! How can you lose something so important!" he yelled.
"I did not know. It is my first time on the show. I thought that it was a piece of scrap paper in my outfit," she said regretfully.
She raised her head. "I can't bring myself to show my face. Can you go look for it instead? I shall wait for you here. We are a team anyway. Neither of us can do anything without it. Is that alright with you?" she asked.
Gu Yu sighed in exasperation. He had no choice but to agree with her.
The look of regret on Su Xia's face dissipated after he left the lane and disappeared from sight. She then pulled out a piece of paper from her sleeve.
