"It really was not enough. All you get is barely one seep of it from their tiny bodies."
"So you desire for more?"
He questioned straight up. He could only ask himself how the hell he was not shitting himself when standing face to face with a bloodthirsty monster.
"I do..."
Ruqui felt like losing his soul when she admitted she did desire more.
"But this will do for another seven days...do not worry!"

"What do you see?"
Epiphany yelled as all the other members, including her, were resting by the flowing brook, after parting away from their pack last night.
They had to find a place where they could mark it as their territory. But ever since the War, they had been very careful to not let anyone come to know about their existence.
They had been living as if they were banished and exiled beings. To many it was shameful and pathetic.
They had the same right as much as the Mortals and the Vampires to reside in the Lands of Saunders but since they were the ones who instigated war and broke the peace, it seemed highly unlikely that those who fought against them would welcome them back with their arms open.
It was confirmed when the then Queen of Saunders had asked all left werewolves to be slayed on the battlefield as she mourned for the death of her partner.
Even those who took a stand against the Vampires and the Mortals, they were not spared either.
It was wrongly done to them as if those werewolves who chose to stay back and not join the ones to follow Jamal, paid the price of the broken peace that was not in their conscience at all, with their lives.
The ones who escaped roamed around the uninhabited territories like some nomadic men and women, having no place to reside.
They could have never entered Middle Earth where the Mortal Kingdoms were located because Immortals were banished from there.
So far as the rumors go, even the Mortals were disgusted by their kind who breached the contract of living together in peace and started the Great Decade War, by summoning nightfall over all the places inhabited and not.
Those were some hardest times, more like years for not only the inhabitants of Saunders who were fighting a war but also those who were not involved in the war.
The nightfall curse on the Earth had caused many hardships to the mortals and other creatures in faraway lands too.
With only nights and no days, the vegetation died, causing mass famines and scarcity of food.
Jamal had thought that causing the nightfall would make the enemy side surrender easily upon getting pressure from all the beings who were facing hardship because of it.
Even though it did not go as planned, those periods in that decade, were the hardest for all the beings after the Great Beginning.
So the werewolves had no choice but to live as if their species were no more. To survive as if they were long gone from the face of the earth.
To get their place back with the other beings, to go living as ones they did before the war, they needed a bargain...which was not going to happen so easily.
Hence the war...the fear of the war had made many accept almost anything and everything but not war.
If they could regain back their strength and forge an army that could bring back that fear of war once again, they could only then be invited by the messenger of the Queen to deliberate on other alternatives than having a war.
At least that was the plan that the supposed leader of the pack, Gregory had and many almost were in acceptance of that.
But their numbers were too little. They were still looking out for their kind who could still be on the running away mode.
At the same time looking for the lost Prince, who had something that they needed to make their demand stronger.
Yet even after looking out for him for fifteen long years, there was no sign of him at all as if the little boy had disappeared itself from the face of the earth.
The other half of the pack, which now parted its way from the ones led by Gregory, wanted more than just residing with the Mortals and the vampires.
They knew that if they were to be allowed to even go back to living like before, they would be treated like some scavengers, with no respect and dignity at all.
Those who had parted from the main pack did not want that. They wanted to be having some say in the political and social life of Saunders just like before but it was going to be hard to retrieve back that position.
After the Great Beginning, it was already stated that anyone or any species who were to break the peace shall be banished, punished, fought, and their rights be taken off of them.
Hence, if one side only wanted to pose the threat of war to get back on the deliberation table with the Queen, the other side aspired to a war that they could win for real this time.
"The scavenger's village as usual..."
Gredork said, coming down to where the others were settled by the flowing brook.
"But there is a catch..."
"What is it?"
Ethan asked. Gredork smirked as he let the words out.
"I saw a girl..."
"Oh stop chasing for human girls, Gredork. Interbreeding is prohibited by nature."
Moose elaborated and the others laughed at Gredork, making fun of him.
"As if Moose! Give me a break!
I saw the sapphire on her wrist..."
"So?"
Ethan could not understand him as he narrowed his eyes but Epiphania stood up right away.
"Are you sure it' is that sapphire?"
"One hundred percent! It is that..."
Gredork confirmed. It made all the others stand up too in alert mode.
"I don't understand...how could it be just like that the sapphire is on some scavenger girl's wrist when we had been roaming this village for years now looking for it..."
Modark stated. But it was beside the point, now that they knew that the sapphire was there in the village for so long, it was time to retrieve it and get started with the next part of the story.
"It also could be that the lost Prince is somewhere nearby...or right in that village?"
Moose added. Finally, Jester spoke out, putting his blade back in its shell after cleaning it in the brook's water.
"Or the lost Prince is giving us a signal finally?"
"Whatever it could be, time for some violence and fun boys!"
Gredork chuckled as they all stood on the outskirts of the village eyeing it as their next prey.
