Meeting Again

After waiting for a while, Catallina finally met Franc in one of the quiet rooms of the palace.

"Catallina, my niece," greeted Franc with a warm smile.

They hugged, releasing the hidden longing for each other. "You have grown into a beautiful woman now," Franc said with an admiring look, trying to express his surprise at the changes in Catallina.

"You're exaggerating, uncle," Catallina said modestly, smiling, trying to downplay the compliments.

Then, Franc asked about the condition of Catallina's father, Nolan, with concern evident in his eyes. "How is my foolish friend doing?" he asked, creating a warm atmosphere in their conversation.

Catallina smiled and answered warmly, "He's doing okay." But behind her smile, there was a sense of sadness and longing that was difficult to express.

Franc nodded in understanding. "I'm glad to hear that. Even though we are in different kingdoms, our relationship remains precious."
