Chapter Thirty four

Mr. Sabastine's face twisted in anger, his hand raised to slap Alex, but he froze, his eyes locked onto his son's defiant gaze. Slowly, he lowered his hand, his chest heaving with restrained fury.

"How dare you compare me to that...that..." he spat, his voice trembling. "You're blind, Alex. You're blind to the reality of who Sophia is."

Alex scoffed. "Like someone like you would know who she really is... You don't even know your own son." Alex retorted.

"I might not know you, but I know who I want you to be, Alex, and that's the most important thing. I know that Sophia is not going to help you achieve the dream I have for you." Mr Sabastine said.

"Can you even hear yourself, father? Why do you have to be the one to have dreams for me? it's my life, and my future we are talking about here, so why don't I have a say in it?" Alex asked, his voice laced with anger.
