Chapter-5: The 'Human' Friends

As Daniel opens his eyes, he hears whispers and murmurs like, "Why did you go hard on him?" and "Oh, what do we do now?" and "He's such a sensitive brat". All the whispers and murmurs stop and Daniel sees the Angel and Devil duos staring at him."

"Are you okay?", asks Henry. "Yeah. Yeah, I'm okay.", replies Daniel.

"I apologize on behalf of Robert.", says Harley, seeing down. "No, no, it's alright. He was just trying to teach me how to fight for real. I was at fault for keeping my guard down.", replies Daniel.

"What did you say, you cocky little punk!? You kept your guard down when I punched you in your face, eh? Don't talk nonsense with me, kid." talks Robert with a high angry voice, as He opens his mouth to utter a word, Ruby closes his mouth saying, "Someone's coming to the house", she closes her eyes as she continues saying, "Two humans to be exact, one female and another male, they're near the door." "Oh, they must be Sofia and Chu.", tells Daniel in excitement. "Chu who?", asks Harley.

"Oh, they are my friends at cram school.", tells Daniel as he starts going downstairs. "Okay. What's a Cram school now?", asks Harley in doubt. "All you need to know is they are friends, human friends.", answers Daniel while going down the stairs and continues, "Please be quiet after I open the door."

"It is a school where you train to achieve particular goals, like studying for an entrance exam.", says Ruby and Harley replies "Oh, thanks, Ruby. You are not as bad as I thought you were." Ruby sees Harley in abhorrence.

"Keep quiet, you guys.", tells Daniel as he opens the main door of his house. "Oh, hey guys! What's up?" asks Daniel as he sees Sofia White and Chu Ling from his cram school. "What are you asking, dude? Did you catch a cold or something? You're acting weird. You never say, 'What's up?' when we come here every day.", says Chu Ling in anxiety. "Why are you overreacting, Chu? Dan just wanted to act cool. Can't you catch that? Anyway, Can we come in, Dan?" asks Sofia as she takes off her coat and rests it on her hand.

Daniel welcomes them and says, "You guys sit in the study room near the kitchen. I'll bring my notes from upstairs." as he goes towards the stairs.

"But we always study in your room Dan... right Sofia?" asks Chu to Daniel, as he steps on the 2nd step from the 1st and Sofia, who is searching for something in her bag. "It's fine Chu. Dan might've not cleaned his room, right Dan?", replies Sofia.

"You are always adorably true Sofi. Be right back." tells Daniel, as he goes to his room upstairs."Did he just call you 'adorable'?" asks Chu Ling in confusion. "What are you jealous about Chu?" asks Sofia. "I'm not jealous!Why would I be? I'm just confused as to what happened to Dan. He's not acting normal today."says Chu Ling.

"Well He seems perfectly fine to me. Anyways, I'm going to the washroom, could you go upstairs and ask Dan to get me a pen? I think I left it in my classroom today." asks Sofia as she gets up. "Okay fine, I'm gonna go ask him but 'You shall treat Chu Ling to a cold drink' while we're going back, 'kay?" replies Chu Ling as he gets up as well. "You got it sir!" tells Sofia as she goes to the washroom.

Chu then goes upstairs and opens the door and asks while lifting his head from watching the ground, "Dan, Sofia is asking for a pen. She said that she forgot hers in her classroom--", Chu stops as he sees something else in the room.
