The Calling

~Recap~

"You thought I liked?" Theo asks curiously. Man literally seemed to already have sensed Azura's mind. This little wolfie.

Azura smiles awkwardly as she answers. "Girls. Yeah. I thought you liked girls."

Playfully, Theo adds. "Oh really? Because I heard that you thought that I liked you?"

"What? Jeez. Why would I think that? Besides, there's nothing about me to be liked."

"That's not true. There are plenty of things about you which anyone would just blindly like. And honestly, I think I already like you."

Now Azura's face reddens and could have gone stunned but the lady was too eager to ask, "Really? You do?"

The young man makes a thoughtful face before he perks. "Of course I do. I like you. As a friend."

______

Well, Azura definitely wasn't supposed to be offended at that very comment given by Theo. Like, why would she take any offense in being called a friend? It's not as if she wanted to be something more than that. At least, that's what she thought.

"Huh, bold of you to assume that we're friends." Azura manages to come back with a retort.

We

But Theo also wasn't any less than her. "So we're more than that huh?"

Frowning in both bitterness and blush, the young woman begins smacking the latter in am unharmful way to which the man just giggles in glee.

Soon after a few moments of Azura's childish reaction and action, Theo tends to switch the topic. "Anyway, I still can't get over the fact that you're actually sharing your lunch with me. It's really such a big deal and means a lot to me, Azura."

Of course Theo's words work like magic as they manage to have Azura change her expression real quick. The lady went from frowning and growling to bubbly blushing real quick. "Is that so? Well, that isn't that much. It's just some piece of pie." Azura says.

"And pieces of pudding, casserole, bacon and what not. There are numerous things that I'm not even able to count. I really don't know if I could ever treat you back. I don't even know if I can do anything for you like how you did for me."

Azura could feel her heart melting at the bliss and lavish Theo conveyed. She was so paced to assure Theo that it wasn't true and all that she didn't even realise what she was going to say. "No, no. That's not true. Honestly, you've actually done a lot for me already, Theo."

There was a moment of silence when Azura covers her mouth from her palm as she realizes she just said the most prohibited word of her dictionary. She called Theo's name.

"Hey… Did you just say–"

"Nothing!" Azura whisper-yells, cutting Theo's line off. "I said nothing."

Theo raises his eyebrow in a both skeptical and mischievous way. "Seriously, Azura? I've heard that the other day during lunch as well but I just let it go but this time it was way too clear to not hear. Besides, what's even the big deal in you calling me by my name?"

Sighing and shaking her hands in the air, the lady bickers, "There is. You wouldn't know."

Well, if Azura was quick to bicker, Theo was also quicker. "Well, as far as I know, in some asian cultures, female lovers use alternatives to address their partners to show a sign of respect and love. Is it the same with you?"

An excessive amount of embarrassment hovers over Azura. Young man was really hard to tackle off.

"Just shut up! It's nothing like that. Alright. You want me to call you by your name? I'll for sure do that. Theo, Theo, Theo, you're just a little wolf and not a lion leo."

After blabbering Theo's name with random terms, the young lady begins walking past the man, not wanting to argue or hear anything more from him.

However, the man whispers things that Azura has to hear. That Azura pleases to hear.

"Azura, Azura, Azura, you've already been great, but now you've become the greatest of them all, greatest of this era."

Well, Theo knew he just did some cheap poetry but as long as it could make the lady blush crazily like she was, it was worth it.

As the time kept passing, Theo noticed that Azura have gone long further in her own reverie. And so he must bring her back before it gets more late than it already was. "Ahem, ahem."

Of course the fake coughing done by the young man worked and brought the lost lady back who was no longer lost in thoughts and was rather embarrassed by now.

And Azura swore that she couldn't even count if how many times she made a fool of herself that day. Or just everyday and every time she's with Theo, she makes a fool of herself. Fool for Theo. "Oh umm, I think we should get going now as we're getting late. Dad must be waiting for me."

"That's what I was going to say. But it seemed like you were lost in thoughts. I wonder what they could be? About what you could think. Or, about who you would think…"

"Oh haha, it was really nothing and definitely no one. Was just thinking about which poison would be most effective on humans as I'm gonna serve that to you in dessert the next day."

Once again, an unexpected reply comes from Theo. "Bold of you to assume that I would regret eating that."

Azura goes into a perplexed state and Theo just chuckles as he adds further. "Even poison will be a potion to me if it's served by you. Pie, poison, potion, I'll have everything wholeheartedly as long as you're the one to give it to me, Azura."

What else? The semi hyper lady was once again dazed at her place while the man just proceeded on his way. But of course, he didn't forget to bid his farewell. "Anyway, it's getting late so we get going, right? See you tomorrow and will be waiting for you to bless me with your poison, Azura." And with no other work or look, Theo flashes out just like a wisp he was.

Always came unexpectedly. Always gone unexpectedly. Though, among all these unexpected things, one fact was definitely expected. Azura's feelings for Theo were expected. Azura's falling for Theo was expected.

"Bye, Theo." Most probably, the lady said that to herself since the said man was long gone. But since she just wanted to repeat his name, she tended to have any excuse to call it. Especially now that she's been challenged by the said name, she was definitely going to sing this name like a song. And like an idiot of course which she was.
