"Hey! There was an accident in the streets earlier. Were you there?" Rica worriedly asked as soon as she picked up Megan. They had seen her waiting with a lot of other families outside the DIY bakeshop, so Megan ran up to her as soon as her feet touched the ground.
"We saw the big boom!" Megan waved her arms as if drawing the explosion, making Rica's face pale and her eyes wide. The girl then giggled. "It's okay! Daddy and Uncle are with us!"
"That doesn't make it any better. Weren't you scared?" Rica caressed the girl's head and looked at the collection of children. Today, unlike before, there was a new boy.
