Fiona's POV

The tension in the room was suffocating as Sabrina's declaration echoed off the chamber walls. All eyes were on her, and for a fleeting moment, I thought I saw a hint of smug satisfaction flicker across her face.

"I volunteer," she repeated, her voice calm and resolute.

A murmur rose among the Alphas and Lunas, but Elder Mariana held up her hand, silencing the whispers.

"Sabrina," Mariana began, her tone measured, "your bloodline has long been respected but the crowns are not to be awakened on a whim. What claim do you believe you hold?"

Sabrina tilted her head slightly, a serpent-like smile playing on her lips. "I would not waste this council's time if I did not have evidence of my lineage. I can provide the necessary proof when the time comes."

Sebastian's grip on my knee tightened, his knuckles white. I could practically feel the restrained fury radiating off him, but his face remained a mask of icy calm.
