Chapter 5

FIONA

"Help me! Help me!! Help me!!!"

Sweating profusely, I ran.

"Please," I pleaded for my life.

I didn't see what I was running from but I knew whatever it was; it was mighty and evil.

A creature I had to escape from.

I ran without looking back and I....

"Fiona!!!"

I heard this familiar voice called out my name and I jumped up from the bed.

Ah..it was a dream, a bad one!

I was shaking, my fingers twitching and I tried to catch my breath.

Next I saw was his hands and then his face; the face of that young man who saved me.

Oh, I just remembered I was in his chambers.

"Is everything okay? You shouted from your sleep," he said.

"I had a bad dream," I answered.

His hands were warm and I didn't want him to let go so I stylishly held them with my other hands like I was feeling cold.

"I am Sebastian by the way. I remember I promised you that when you wake up," he said.

I blushed.

"Nice to meet you, Sebastian," I said, still trying to catch my breath.

"These men will take you to the clinic so they can run a full checkup on you."

I saw the way he looked at me. His eyes pierced my soul and this sudden happiness built up within me.

He helped to my feet, keeping a straight face, he led me to the pack hospital.

"Where is Rachel?" He said to one of the nurse who assisted in preparing a bed for me.

"She will soon be here, my Lord," she responded.

My Lord? Why did she call him that?

The reverence and respect was highly and this got me thinking, who exactly was this young man in his pack?

"Are you the girl from the Bluemoon pack?" A young lady's voice interrupted my train of thoughts.

"Yes ma'am," I answered.

"Oh please, call me Rachel, I am the pack's doctor and that handsome young man there is my brother, Alpha Sebastian," she said, pointing to Sebastian who stood far away talking to other wolves around the hospital.

He seemed distracted and I longed for him to look back at me but he didn't till he left.

"Hold on, he is the Alpha?" I asked, refusing to believe what I had just heard.

This must be a joke.

"I slept in the chambers of the Alpha?" I thought out loud.

"Yes, you did. Don't worry, he doesn't bite. I know he looks fierce but he is the best there is. Moreover, I am sure he didn't introduce himself to you as the Alpha, right?"

I nodded in response. "That's typical Sebastian. Never likes drawing attention to himself," Rachel said.

"So, Fiona, you might begin to feel dizzy any moment from now," she said.

"Wait, when did you inject me?" I asked when I noticed she pulled a needle out of my wrist.

"Uhmm…when you were talking," she giggled.

"That was quite tri….cky," I commented as my sight began to blur on.

***

Days had gone by, after receiving constant and adequate treatment from Rachel, I am now strong and healthy.

She and I had become best of friends as the pack welcomed me in as one of them with open arms.

Sebastian was also a friend however he wanted more. I tried as much a I could to avoid him but he kept shooting his shots and making known his intententions towards me through Rachel.

"Lady Fiona," Karen, one of the Omega in the pack called me from my quarters.

"Alpha Sebastian requests for your presence in his chambers right away" She said.

"I will be with him right away, I answered as I put on my clothes.

"What took you so long?" Sebastian asked the instant I entered.

"I'm sorry my Lord. I was without others when you called for me. I had to..."

"How long will you keep running from me, Fiona?" He interrupted.

"The other day, I called for you to go on a run with me and you refused. Is this because of my proposal?"

"Do you loathe me that much?"

"Never, Sebastian. I do not. You have been nothing but good to me. I know what you want from me but I can't…" I said and shyed away.

"Come," he held my hands and pull me closer to him. "I don't care about what you have been through in Bluemoon pack. I have come to change that, Fiona. I have fallen in love with you and my wolf calls out your name even in my sleep,"

"Allow me tend to your wounds and repair your sadness with my genuine feelings of love and affection, damsel," he spoke softly, his husky tone suddenly having a melody to it.

I wanted him too but I was scared. Scared of facing rejection all over again.

What would happen if he finds out his desired mate is nothing but an orphan and a wolfless Omega?

I couldn't tell him everything. They had taken me in and offered me shelter. I have nowhere else to go lest I will wander to death.

He took my hands and placed it on his chest. "Listen….."

"That's my heart beating for you, Fiona Cullen," he spoke sweetly.

I smiled and looked away. I had never seen him so serious and adamant.

I winked. I felt the hairs on his skin standing and my lips were pushing me to give him a kiss.

I yielded and hugged him tightly. He drew me back and gave me a kiss in the forehead and down to my lips.

"I have to go now. I have an appointment with Rachel," I stopped him halfway.

"Alright," he replied with a wide smile.

Getting to the clinic, I met Rachel pacing around her office and this got me startled.

"What is the issue, Rachel?"

"Take a look at this," she pointed to the device sitting comfortably on her desk.

"C-mon, babe, you know I am dumb to science. What exactly am I looking at?"

"Do you know you are pregnant?!"
