The Bow

Clara sat in her room, surrounded by the familiar comforts of the Healing Home, when she heard a knock at the door. She opened it to find a group of council members, their faces filled with concern and curiosity.

"Clara, how are you feeling?" one of them asked, their voice gentle. "We've heard about progress...episode. We want to make sure you're recovering well."

Clara hesitated, unsure how much to reveal. She didn't want to lie, but she also didn't want to share the truth about the book and the magic she had discovered.

"I'm feeling better, thank you," she said finally. "Just a bit...overwhelmed. I think I just needed some time to myself."

The council members exchanged skeptical glances, but they didn't press her further.

"We're glad to hear that," one of them said. "But we do need to ask, Clara...have you experienced anything... unusual since your recovery began?"
