The Aeternus Universe

The year of humanity is 2415, and DDVR and VRMMORPG's are commonplace now. It's extremely hard for a new game to come out and be successful. The greats of these genres have ruled for a few centuries now. A new game is releasing soon, and it has promise to be one of those. The Aeternus Universe. A Virtual Reality game has what you would expect from a game in this genre. However, some things make it special. One of those being the exploration and adventure through galaxies and The Aeternus Universe. Other games in this genre take it to fantasy and medieval times. This is set in a universe where there are super advanced technologies, spaceships, and Mecha suits—lost Alien tech ready to be found and claimed. Some of these all come together. The story starts 2 days before the release of the game, and with our protagonist—a 20-year-old male by the name of Scott Autumn. He is one of the few jumping from the current major game to this one. Seeing its potential for greatness and chance to be one of the biggest games on the market.

~~~(POV: Larzacks)~~~
The red lights from the warning systems go off... Igniting the room and bathing all of us watchers in silent chaos as the same beams of energy that destroyed our local fleet tears apart the backup one sent by Teller-Bravo... Everything is moving slowly for me...
The men and women around me are scrambling to do anything to help. All I can think about is how this is the first time I've failed... At anything since I started working with Teller-Bravo. My perfect and impeccable mission record is ruined now. Destroyed by this godforsaken world.
Some of the Eggheads get us a live feed, and we stare as another expensive and powerful fleet is disposed of as if it's nothing. "How... How many dead?" That fleet was filled with so many living and breathing people. Good soldiers that follow orders and have families somewhere.
My question falls on deaf ears. Everyone's eyes are locked on the single monitor that's allowing us to see what's going on. "HOW MANY DEAD!!" My anger rouses some from their state. The fleet that was sent here is so much better than the one stationed.
None of the scientists that followed my orders have responded yet. "We don't know, sir... This is an emergency response fleet... Teller-Bravo fully mans them... Meaning at least 160,000 dead..." I lose feeling in my legs, as one of the scientists says that. "I've never seen weapons technology that can cause such easy destruction of an entire fleet..." I spin and grab the scientist behind me, that has admiration in his voice.
Before I can ball up my fist, others rush and separate me from the man. This is why I hate eggheads... They don't know what it means to lose a good soldier.
~~~(POV: Scott Autumn)~~~

So, this is what the weapons systems are capable of... Seeing them in action is much more enlightening than only seeing the leftovers from what happened earlier. "What is the main function of this facility?" I voice out a command to the automated system for the facility.

If it has any answers, it'll give them to me. I watch the console in front of me give off a bunch of data referring to many projects that happened here. Most of its cultivation techniques and terraforming information. There is file after file of what The Primordium did.

More than anything, it tells how The Primordium seeded life on this world, and how it's done so on other worlds. It's a great deal of valuable information. Other worlds filled with life, and most species in The Aeternus Universe were seeded by The Primordium.

The Kalarians were created by The Primordium. Information is power, and this is insane. The Primordium race can be called a godly race in terms of power and influence on the fate of all life in the universe. There are millions of worlds out there with intelligent life that haven't been discovered yet.

Teller-Bravo would kill to know all of this, and this is one site out of countless others. Only a fragment of the information that The Primordium has stored across the universe. "Where is The Primordium Homeworld?" I have my hopes up that I don't have to go on my quest, and this is an easy shortcut, but there are no records referring to my homeworld.

I input commands in the console at quick speeds, and I keep trying to locate Durado, but where ever he is. He's making sure no one sees him.

I access the location of where the information about Durado's daughter is being held. It's as the datapad says. She was taken to the Gord-Prime system. They didn't store any logs about experiments, but from the little reading material that is here.

They're using specific wording and phrasing to indicate they did, in fact, perform experiments. I've learned many valuable things, but I can't share them with Durado.

I have to play the ignorant card the next time I see him. Then just guide him to the location. It's the smartest move right now with the least deadly outcomes from what I see.
