Chapter-12

After the weekend ended, Theron arrived at the academy. As he went through the academy compound, there were gasps of surprised as he passed through the compound. As he reached the classroom, people were looking at him but he just sat at his place like before but there were whispers which he could hear.

"Is this the rumored transfer student" 

"He is so handsome"

As the teacher came in, she glanced through the students and saw an unfamiliar face.

"Hmm, this new student"

"Can you tell me your name?" 

Theron looked around and tried to find who she was talking about but it seemed it was him as he looked back at the teacher and pointed himself. He looked like a handsome young man with new hair style, healthier body structure and a handsome face. 

"Yes, you" 

"Umm, I am not a new student, professor" 

"I am Theron, Theron Silvercrest"

[Emotion: Surprised, Proud]

Gasps were sounded within the classroom as the teacher looked at him carefully.

"Hmm, now that I think about it, he does indeed look like Theron"

"Quiet down" The teacher said as they started to discuss again.

"The grades and scores will be shown during after classes are over"

"There will be an announcement coming very soon and it is very important piece of information so I hope all of you will listen to it at that time"

During the time, Theron attempted to use his insight skill on the teacher but he remembered that it would be detected if usage on very strong opponents so he refrained from probing any further.

What is the insight skill, it is a skill that could make him see the status of other people and items and more. He used it on his flame the day before and was surprised to see the description of it.

He wanted to test more but he didn't know what to test it on so he waited till he arrived at school today to test it on some of his classmates. As for the teacher, he didn't want to find out the potential consequences.

Theron could only guess what it would be though he was quite sure of what it was, he still needed confirmation. He checked his score on the score board which people were gathering around.

"First: Theron Silvercrest (597)" 

"Second: Aria (539)" 

Needless to say but he was speechless at this turn of events.

'Wasn't it easy?'

He could hear the gasps of surprises by his classmates as they noticed the significant gap between the first and second places but also their own grades which were lower than before because of the difficulty of the exam. Amidst the whispers, he saw a girl in red being comforted by her friend as they walked away. 

"Sephi, its fine, you can do better next time" Elysia consoled Seraphina who was feeling a bit down after the scores were revealed. 

"I am sorry, its also my fault, even though I taught you, your score didn't improve" 

"Sigh, its fine its not your fault, I can't just get better at academics" 

As they were talking, 

"Umm, excuse me" 

"But, you were the one who saw me last week right" 

"At the park" 

They both looked at this person. This person was very handsome and had a height of 185cm. His attractive face and expressive eyes made it difficult for someone to say utter something negative in front of him.

"I'm sorry but who are you?" 

Seraphina said as she looked at him with confusion.

 "I guess introductions are necessary, my bad" Theron chuckled as he said,

"I am Theron Silvercrest" 

"Can these two beauties tell me their names as well" 

Theron continued, glancing at Seraphina and Elysia. The two girls looked stunned, momentarily speechless. After exchanging uncertain glances, they huddled together and began to whisper.

"Is he really that Theron?" 

"How has he changed this much?" 

"He does indeed look like Theron but his appearance changed so much" 

"Ahem" Theron cleared his throat, drawing their attention.

"Yes, sorry for the wait, my name is Seraphina Veridale and this is Elysia Stormshade" 

Seraphina said as she pointed to Elysia 

"Nice to meet you" Elysia said 

"Nice to meet you both" 

"I wanted to say thanks for the guide which gave me during the park" 

"As appreciation, I would like to invite both of you to lunch" Theron said

"No, no, no, its fine. I didn't do it with the intention of getting a repayment" 

Seraphina rejected it but Theron insisted

"It's just that I am grateful, please accept it" 

"I would also like to ask some questions about the sword as well" 

Seraphina exchanged a glance with Elysia, who seemed to be silently communicating a "don't include me" message. Seraphina then smirked and replied, 

"Well..."

Theron, Seraphina and Elysia were at a table in the restaurant which Theron chose.

"How were both of your exam scores?" Theron inquired.

Elysia and Seraphina exchanged glances, recalling their exam results. 

"I lost a lot of points this time, I got only 489, and my previous was 537" 

"As for Sephi, she got…" 

"3" Seraphina said in a low voice with her head down

Seraphina looked at him with a tear shrunken face as she puffed up her cheeks as she said

"Don't laugh". Theron didn't laugh upon hearing her score since he already expected it but he couldn't hold it in when he saw Seraphina's adorable and comical expression. Elysia also burst into laughter, and Theron joined in. 

"Why are you guys laughing" 

"Sephi, your hahaha, face"

Elysia said as she tried to remove the tear dropping from her face due to constant laughing and she then realized that there was still a third person beside her and Seraphina and started to cough as she tried to maintain her dignified manner. But, looked closely, one could see her red ears and her slightly flushed face which was hidden well. 

"What about you then" Seraphina said as she asked him with a smug face.

"I got lower than my previous score"

Then Elysia interjected,

"You don't need to lie" and then turned to Seraphina,

"You just need to deduce your marks from the maximum marks given"

"So, 599, 598, 597, wait he got 597" Seraphina counted,

"Yea, he got first place" Elysia continued

"It's just academics, my combat on the other hand is not good"

"I envy you guys"

Elysia sighed as she said,

"I am sorry to hear about your condition" 

"Its fine" Theron replied

Seraphina had a face of disbelief as she thought to herself.

'Didn't he say he didn't study?'

'How can he get that much marks if he just studied when the exam was so close'

'If only I can get a small amount of that brain'

She thought as he looked intently at Theron's head.

"Umm, is there something on my head?" 

"No, I was just lost in thought" She said as she snapped back to reality.

"Can I ask the both of you to keep a secret of what you saw the week before at the park?"

"Of course" 

Both of them answered at the same time. Then the food arrived and they started to eat and Elysia eyes are shining as she tasted the food. As they finished the food, Elysia touched her stomach which had bloated a little bit.

"It was good" 

"I am glad you enjoyed it" Theron said 

"I would also like to ask Miss Veridale, I mean Seraphina, if you would allow me to call you that" 

"Can you teach me how to use the sword?" 

"Of course there is also a benefit for you, I will be your teacher in academics" 

"If your scores don't change after an exam, you can quit"

"What do you think?"
