A Search for my Mate 

Gerald's POV 

As I moved from the pack, I traced her through our link, the invisible rope that bound us as mates. 

I was the only person who saw the rope, and momentarily, it appeared to show me the path to follow. 

"Are you sure about this, Gerald?" Tom asked, I could perceive the fear in his eyes and the doubt in his mind.  

I shook my head repeatedly with so much confidence. 

We walked deep into the forest, our sword hung tightly on our waist, our body fully armed and our eyes darted around the thick forest to foresaw any form of danger. 

Our feet landed slowly on the bare floor, crushing the dry leaves beyond our feet.  

The imaginary rope with its sparkle flashed through my face and stretched towards a mansion, deep into the forest.  

Gently, my eyes followed it up as it stopped on the building.  

"There," I whispered as I stretched a finger towards the building.
