While the elders cowared in their tent, talking amongst themselves in momentary pauses on their trembling. The vast majority of the others at this village were gathering together. Even the warriors of the Winged-Humans, while a little scared of the pressure they felt… They stood with the Dwarves, Elves and the few regular Humans who had chosen to follow Night Silver as their deity.
A large area of the village had been cleared of everything that could be of value. And with everyone gathered, facing the direction of this area in expectation it was quite obvious that this would be the place where the dragons would land.
Right around the time when Night Silver had sat up and stretched, just before her conversation with the other dragons and reclothing herself… The elven leader took a step forward and turned to face everyone.
"Thank you all for gathering here! Mother is returning shortly, I just felt her presence spike. She is without a doubt victorious. The Dragons with her are likely in some sort of relationship with her now." The Elven leader announced, attempting to abate the fears of the Winged-Humans. Hopefully with this explanation our new friends can break their fear and avoid shaming themselves in front of Mother. That would be disastrous for them. Well, maybe not… Mother is rather nice, kind and caring.
"Ahahaha! Of course Mother would do something like that. She is a Goddess after all. Even Dragons would have to respect her at the very least." The Dwarven Leader laughed, suggesting what may have happened.
"Friends, from what I saw of the Goddess, I don't think she would fail in her efforts. I am merely worried about the three dragons approaching. What is their business here?" Rocky Breeze explained his worries.
"Perhaps they've become friends? Like me and my sister here!" A winged-Human girl said with a bright look on her face as she and the elven girl, who first demonstrated the [Create Water] spell, held hands.
"In any case, Mother will return shortly. I'm sure she will explain what happened to all of us in time. Please wait until then. And try not to show any fear. If you do, you might get coddled a little too much. After all, in the eyes of Mother, all of us are children and she isn't afraid to treat us like that." The Elven Leader explained, while taking a mental note of the elders finally coming out of their tent. About time cowards. I'll be sure to tell Mother about that if she doesn't already know.
At this time, three dragons appeared in the sky above the village. After doing a lap around to show everyone that Night Silver had returned, the dragons all landed. Brightness was still in the center. And just as they had been told to do, they laid down almost immediately to avoid any fearful reactions.
"My children, I've returned." Night Silver said as she dismounted from Brightness' back in an overly graceful manner befitting of a deity. She was still just as perfect a beauty as ever.
"Mommy!" An elven girl shouted and ran over, jumping up into Night Silver's arms, getting to rub her face into her mother's chest. "Welcome back mommy! I missed you." She added, holding back tears in her eyes.
"Awe, were you a good girl while I was away?" Night Silver smiled, wiping the tears from the girl's eyes.
"Yes, I made friends, and helped with water and even helped with some cooking!" The elven girl cheerfully replied with a big smile and then waved for her friend to come over.
Night Silver looked and saw there was a little girl from the Winged-Humans standing there, with an embarrassed squirm, nervous to run forward. So it was the girl from before, huh. Interesting. Night Silver walked forward, picking up the little girl in her other arm. "The two of you are so cute. I'm sure you'll be excellent friends. My precious children." She said, giving each of the kids a kiss on their foreheads, the two blushed and smiled. "Awe, you're so adorable. I love both of you." She returned the smile.
"Yay! Mommy loves us!!!! I love you too mommy!" The pair of girls replied, practically shrieking with how high pitched their voices were from the warm feeling they had overwhelming them.
"Mother, welcome back. We, your humble people have followed your instructions. We are ready to depart at any time." The Elven Leader mentioned, stepping up and bowing.
"Awe, do you want to rub up against Mother too?" Night Silver teased. "You all did an excellent job. I have returned from the old village successful in battle. On top of killing the evil dragon that took over the homeland of my people, I made two other younger dragons submit to me." Night Silver went on to begin her explanation. "Their names are Moigit and Frayrsis." She announced as the two mentioned nodded and bowed.
"As for myself, I am known by the title of Brightness Dragon Lord. And after multiple life or death battles with this wonderful woman, I fell in love and wish to marry her. I will act to protect her people as if they were my own." Brightness Dragon Lord explained his own position himself.
"I too have fallen in love with Brighty over here. You won't have to worry about him taking me away completely for a while though. We won't be conceiving our own young until he masters his transformation… But you should get used to him." Night Silver smiled.
"Mommy? Does that mean we can call him daddy?" The elven girl asked, putting a finger to her chin and tilting her head to the side in an absolutely adorable manner.
"Pfft, you may call me that if you wish, young one. I won't contest. I only wonder if I have the right to be called such a grand title by someone so adorably precious." Brightness said, slowly and gently leaning his face forward.
"Awe, poor dragon. I know!" The elven girl said, patting Brightness' snout. "When you can transform like Mommy, I'll call you Daddy!" She smiled.
"These children take after you quite a bit, Sil. It makes me want to protect their smiles all the more now." Brightness chuckled.
"Well you heard my little girl. Better get to work as soon as we are done moving." Night Silver giggled, making Brightness blush again.
