[1 month later]
Selene weaved under a punch from Seriene and swept her legs. Seriene used [Wind Manipulation] to stop her from falling but was hit in the face by Selene. She was sent rolling across the ground but got up with a frown and a bloody nose.
"[MAGIC BARRAGE]!!" Seriene fired hundreds of magic arrows that homed on Selene's position. Selene had her eyes closed the entire time and narrowly dodged each arrow, not getting hit by a single one as she closed the distance between her and Seriene.
Seriene quickly casted [Shield] to block Selene's punch. The sheer amount of force didn't break the shield but sent her flying through the forest.
'Mommy is too strong to attack head on!' Seriene fired a couple of magic arrows into the sky and charged at Selene, her fists covered in mana.
Selene dodged every single attack Seriene threw and stopped her final punch with a finger.
"Now!" Seriene brought down the magic arrows that were on standby in the sky. This distraction gave Seriene enough time to run away...or so she thought.
Selene appeared right in front of her, causing Seriene to cast another [Shield] spell. This time it was a tier 2, so Selene didn't send her flying. Seriene quickly placed her hands on her mother's lower torso, "[EXPLODE]!
*BOOM*
Seriene backed away from her mother's smoking body. She knew she couldn't harm her permanently and Selene encouraged her to use everything at her disposal to stop her.
Both of Seriene's hands were lit aflame and she got into the stance to fire a bow, "[Fire Arrow]!"
A blazing arrow flew towards Selene at high speeds but was suddenly dispersed. Seriene tried to cast another [Shield] but was suddenly hit by a powerful telekinetic force that sent her flying into the trees.
Seriene laid on the ground as Selene approached, "Do you concede sweetheart?"
Seriene panted, "Yes Mommy! You're too strong! But one day, I will beat you!"
Selene giggled as she held Seriene in her arms, "The record is currently 78-0, you've got a lot of winning to do."
They returned to the house where Amhuluk was feeding some deer and Jackie was asleep bathing in the sun.
«I'm guessing Lady Seriene lost yet again?» Amhuluk asked with a laugh and Seriene pouted. Seriene laughed as well, "Yes she did, but she's getting a lot better. Give her a few months and she might beat you Amhuluk."
«Perhaps the old me. I have been practicing magic as well.»
"Wow, look at you! I'm proud," Selene gave Amhuluk a soft smile, «Thank you my liege! I probably wouldn't have started if I wasn't defeated by you.»
"If you ever want a rematch it's always on the table!" Selene and Seriene walked inside of the house. Seriene ran upstairs to her room and Selene went down to the basement. There, she experimented with various combinations of plants. She had vials of poisonous failures, vials of healing potions, vials of stamina recovery, vials of hunger saturation, and many more.
Her alchemy lab also doubled as a small forge. However, she didn't practice very much due to her not needing a weapon but she wanted to create a staff for the coolness factor.
The handle of the staff was made up of Elderwood as she liked to call it. It was the tree branch of a rubber tree that was slowly infused with an immense amount of mana.
"Maybe I should test if this process would work for metal…why didn't I think of this before?" Selene bonked herself on the head and walked outside.
"I'm going to the outer forest to collect a few metals, I'll be back soon!" Selene waved goodbye as she flew into the air. She took her time and enjoyed the view so it took her an extra 25 minutes to reach the outer forest.
The metal she wanted to experiment with, gold, was usually at the headwaters of the Amazon River, located in modern-day Brazil.
"This is a good place to start!" Selene kneeled by the rushing waters of the river and placed her hands on the ground.
"[Separate: Gold]." The ground began to shake as fist-sized balls of unrefined gold began to rise from the depths. They began to combine until they reached the size of a small car.
"Ehhh, it's a bit much but at least I won't have gold trouble anytime soon." Selene casted [Shield] around the ball of gold and sent it flying home. Something else was on her mind now.
She could sense a large congregation of humans further down the river and she wanted to investigate. She completely concealed her presence and flew down the river. She saw the humans, conquistadors to be exact, commanding slaves to sift through the sediment for gold and other metals. While other slaves were commanded to build homes, clear the forest, and even some for sexual pleasure.
Selene frowned, "The one part of history I will never accept. I may not be able to end it permanently, but I will stop it at every chance I get."

[Spanish River Colony, Outer Forest]
"Granny, do the gods really exist?" A young boy kneeled over the river asked the woman next to him.
"Of course they do!" The woman briefly stopped sifting through the sediments, "Speaking like that will earn their ire, Tepin!"
"So then why do they allow us to suffer like this?!" Tepin yelled, gaining the attention of a nearby conquistador. The conquistador spoke no words and began to beat Tepin with a whip.
"No sir, he didn't mean to yell!" Granny tried to shield Tepin but was smacked away, "Don't worry, you'll get your turn next old fart."
The conquistador went to land another punch, but a blue streak passed through his heart, leaving a finger-sized hole. As he fell backwards, Tepin and Granny were greatly confused.
"G-Granny what happened?" Tepin asked before he looked up and his eyes widened, "Granny look!"
Tepin pointed to a floating woman with beautiful golden hair. He couldn't see her facial features accurately, but he could feel the power radiating off of her.
"You no longer have to worry about your slavers. I have killed them all, you are all now free." The woman's voice was omnipresent and melodic. Granny immediately bowed down and Tepin followed, so did all 250 slaves of the river colony.
'The gods do exist!' Tepin exclaimed with tears in his eyes. When he looked up again, she was gone. This day would be forever imprinted on his mind and the birth of something wondrous.

[Selene's Home, Center Forest]
"Mommy you're back! Why did you send the ball of gold home first?" Seriene sitting on top of said ball of gold asked.
"I had to take out the trash, but I also wanted to experiment with necromancy." Selene waved her finger and all 25 dead conquistadors floated to the ground.
"Why?" Seriene asked as she poked one of the bodies.
"Because sweetie, magic is like a subject you never stop learning and I have all the time in the world. Why not use it for learning constantly?" Selene said with a smile as she petted Seriene's head.
"I'm also thinking of creating a library full of every spell I've made as a way to document how far I've come."
Seriene's eyes shined, "Mommy you're amazing!" Selene's eyes watered and she hugged Seriene tightly, "You're amazing too my little munchkin!"
They hugged for a while until Seriene fell asleep. Selene smiled warmly and carried her to her bed. She then brought the ball of gold and the dead bodies down to the basement.
«Amhuluk, Jackie. Can you two kill a few furred animals and bring me their hide? Then I want you to bring their bodies to this location.» Selene pinged a location in their heads mentally.
«Yes, Master!»
«As you wish, my liege.»
"Good, while they retrieve the hide I need for my books. Let's start infusing mana into this ball of gold." She placed her hand on the ball of unrefined gold and felt traces of iron, nickel, and copper as well.
"This is an excellent way to see what happens to other metals when they are infused with a dense amount of magicules as well."
