Selene stood in the middle of the forest with her eyes closed. A blue arrow of mana came flying at her from the trees but made contact with a green sphere.

"Found you." Selene vanished and reappeared behind an unsuspecting Seriene who was searching for her.

"Boo!" Seriene almost fell out of the tree but Selene caught her by the back of her dress, "Mommy, how did you do that! You vanished right in front of me!"

Selene laughed, "By completely sealing my presence, using the wind to silence my movements, and then bolstering my speed to the max using mana. Eventually, it became a skill called [Sonic Step] because I used it so much."

"I see…I will practice more and break that bubble!" Seriene declared and Selene smirked, "That's only the first tier hon. You've got a long way to go."

Selene jumped out of the tree, "Stay here with Jackie sweetie, and practice your magic."

"Why? Where are you going, Mommy?" Seriene questioned as she jumped as well.

"Target practice," Selene gave her the peace sign before vanishing.

'It's been around a week since Duras told me about the monster in the center of the forest. I still can't believe I'm back in like the 1500s! Thank goodness I don't age past my prime or I would go insane!' Selene used [Sonic Step] continuously until she reached an area of the forest where the magicules were so dense, she could see them floating in the air like little fairies.

"ROAAAARRRR!!" Selene's eyes flashed red as [Future Attack Prediction] autonomously activated. She casted [Shield] as a huge plume of flames washed over her. Once the attack was over, a huge portion of the forest was burnt, leaving Selene in her bubble floating in the air.

The cause of the flames was a giant green lizard reminiscent of a dragon only without wings. Selene's eyes narrowed in annoyance as she appraised it.

"You look like an excellent warm up," Selene floated to the ground and deactivated [Shield], "Let's dance."

"ROAAARR!!" The drake charged her with the intentions of eating her whole. Selene used [Sonic Step] to get out of the way. The drake used its tail to slap her away, but she flipped over it.

Selene then pointed her hand at the drake, "[Repel]." A powerful telekinetic force slammed into the drake's side and simply tore it in half.

"Awww man…I thought you would be stronger than that!" Selene sighed deeply before she continued her journey toward the center. She could feel an immense amount of magicules wafting off of something.

A few moments later and she arrived. The area was eerily quiet which gave her a bad feeling. Her eyes flashed red and she casted a tier 3 [Shield]. Suddenly a large blue vine struck her shield. The vine broke through the first two tiers and sent her flying through the trees.

Before Selene even had time to recover, vines bursted out of the ground trying to engulf her.

'This thing is fast!' Selene used [Sonic Step] straight up and floated above the forest, "Where is this thing…" Selene's eyes flashed and widened.

"An S-Rank monster…so were the same rank? And it's huge! No wonder it was so fast, this thing is like 300 feet tall! Or is it wide?" Selene smiled widely.

"I CAN SEE THROUGH YOUR ILLUSION AMHULUK! JUST COME OUT AND FIGHT ME LIKE A MAN!!" Selene yelled below. Soon the previous area began to shift and a 379-foot amalgamation of trees, logs, vines, and dead material appeared. It had 10 yellow eyes and four feet along with two arms, needle-like teeth, and a weird bony tongue.

«You are the first being to challenge me in eons. I have only lost once, so I hope your strength is up to par, but I doubt it.» Amhuluk spoke telepathically. Selene smiled, "Try me!"

At her provocation, Amhuluk's arms extended at frightening speeds towards her. Selene dodged and flung her arm through the air.

"[Cleave]." Amhuluk's arm was sliced clean off at the shoulder. But it was futile as in mere seconds, his arm regenerated. Amhuluk then stuck his arms in the ground and launched a huge chunk of it at Selene.

Selene sliced it in half and dodged another attack she was warned of, "You know, for an S-Rank, you're not very strong if I'm in the air."

«Silence!» Magicules began to collect within Amhuluk's mouth until a dense black ball was created. The ball grew rapidly in size before Amhuluk swallowed it and a yellow beam fired from his mouth.

"Shit!" Selene layered 3 tier 3 [Shield] spells but the beam ripped through every single one of them and eviscerated 75% of her body.

Selene was still floating in the air and her body was visibly regenerating at a remarkable speed. There was no longer a smile on Selene's face her expression was completely aloof.

«I'm surprised you survived. Most beings don't even reach this far.» Selene spoke no words and pointed her hand to the sky. The bright sunny day, quickly darkened and lightning collected in the clouds.

«I'm not as stupid as you to let you fire such an attack!» Both of Amhuluk's arms converged to create a fast-moving lance. Selene used her hand to cast [Cleave], stopping his attack.

Golden lightning began to strike at random and Selene looked at Amhuluk with aloofness. The dark clouds parted and a 200-diameter hole was in the sky.

"[Rhongomyniad.]" At her call, a thick column of golden lightning struck Amhuluk and the ground below creating a huge explosion. The explosion was so powerful, it could be felt from the coast. The sheer power destroyed everything within a 2-mile radius.

Selene floated to the barren earth and saw a blue crawling head and spine. Selene picked it up and stared into its two front-facing eyes, "Submit."

Her will dominated his own with ease, «I-I…I submit to you…my liege.»

"Good," Selene dropped him into her shadow and informed Jackie of his imminent arrival.

"This area is perfect for a home. Secluded, magicule dense, and the surrounding area is full of creatures strong enough to train against if I limit myself." Selene placed her hand on the ground.

"[Sprout]." Selene flooded the earth with her mana and soon trees, grass, herbs, flowers, and everything that was destroyed was regrown like nothing happened.

Selene then created a nice opening and used [Wood Magic] to create the frame for a lovely two-story home. Then, using [Earth Magic] she placed the walls, chimney, and glass before creating a door with [Wood Magic].

She made some furniture out of wood and a stove. Selene smiled at her work, "A beautiful home if I do say so myself."

«Jackie, come here and bring Seriene and Amhuluk.» Within moments, Jackie jumped out of Selene's shadow with Seriene on her back and Amhuluk's slowly regenerating body in her mouth.

«Woah! Master did you do this?!»

"Mommy, you built this house?!"

Selene laughed at their reactions, "Of course I did! This why I tell you two to practice your magic. I built this house in like 5 minutes."

Jackie shrunk to the size of a house cat and toured the house with Seriene, leaving Amhuluk on the ground.

«My liege, If I may speak.» Selene glanced at him, still a little angry from before.

"Go ahead."

«Someone of your strength must have great plans right? May I ask what they are, if they exist?» Selene smiled and looked at the clear sky.

"I'm going to create a country where boredom is illegal!" Selene said with a giggle. Amhuluk stared at her for a moment before laughing as well «I will help you achieve your dream then, my liege.»
