Chapter 86 - Aftermath 01

The next day, Jimina's death was surprisingly featured on national TV. Well, basically, Jimina's death was quite sensationalized. Although many of the videos were censored and the like, people could find the video before Jimina fell from the top floor of Jimina's production house. From there, people can see how Jimina confessed to various crimes before dropping himself.

His death, which coincided with his production house being bought by Strawberry Productions, inevitably made this company the focus of conversation as well. Many people are making conspiracies out of this purchase. Strawberry Production had a good name, after all. So many people were surprised that the first company they acquired was a problematic company.

Because after that Strawberry Production and also Seiryuu made an announcement telling why this acquisition happened. Well, with the power of the Shinomiya Family, manipulating the media is very easy. They made various media write about how Strawberry Production and Seiryuu wanted to build an entertainment that was not only productive but also clean. One of them is acquiring the Jimina production house that has the talent they like, but has a troubled company. 

It wasn't long for the allegations against Jimina to come out, including reports from Roboco and Azki, who recounted what happened right before Jimina decided to jump from her office. It was a case of sexual harassment that even saw drugs. However, there were some people who expressed suspicion about what happened. With so much evidence involving Jimina and how little Strawberry Production had to do with them, which only happened when they were about to acquire the production house. 

Most people in Japan support the production of strawberries, which have had a good reputation from the beginning. Not only in the idol world, but their name is also very good in the V-tuber and gaming world as well.

Another thing that was done in the press was to maintain the image of both Seiryuu and the Shinomiya Family, which made the story of how Seiryuu saw how positive Strawberry Production was and hoped that they could work together to build a safe and high-quality entertainment industry. They allowed Strawberry Production to acquire their troubled small company. They announced the cooperation between Strawberry Production and the Shinomiya Family in making a game called Uma Musume. 

Anyway, although the death of Jimina was out of my plans, in the end, everything went smoothly and was still within the plan. Although losing a game like Uma Musume is unfortunate, there is a big reason why I chose to give the game to another company, which is that copyrighting the names of the horses used is very complicated. There are also other problems that a noble family like the Shinomiya Family would easily solve. 

In the end, after two weeks had passed, all the problems about Jimina had passed, and all that was left was to take care of administrative matters. However, various projects from Jimina's production house were taken over by Strawberry Pro, and they also began to evaluate the employees in Jimina's production house. They fired people with strong ties to Jimina and picked up some talents that they thought were good enough. However in the end, the one who got the green light was Azki. 

Meanwhile, what happened to Roboco was something I never imagined because she refused to be in a group with Azki and could become an idol group directly. Then she wanted to meet me in person, so she was in front of me while bowing her head. 

"I'm very grateful. For helping us—"

"It's okay, I'm doing this because it will basically benefit all of us." 

"That might be true, but I know very well— This happens because you like Azki and me personally." 

Ugh, I don't know where Roboco knew about this. However, it feels a little embarrassing to hear that from Roboco's mouth because it's like I'm a playboy. The only two people I suspected of telling Roboco were Ai and Miyako. 

"Well, I find you two have a talent and I feel it's too bad to let you two rot in those places." I answered honestly, and Roboco's expression became calmer before getting a little solemn. "Therefore, it is a pity that you did not accept our offer. Even your friend Azki seemed very surprised." I added. 

"Ahaha, I'm glad you valued me so highly. But in the end I only joined because I wanted to know what happened to my childhood friend. At the end of the day it's all settled, I think the time is right to stop and also there are more important things I want to do." 

I do not know the full story that Roboco has, but I can infer it from the memories of the spirits I saw in Jimina's production house. Therefore, I understand why she thought of quitting the idol world. 

"Is that so— Well, that's unfortunate. However, I wish you success in whatever you do next." Actually, Roboco's rejection was beyond what I had planned; even so, I couldn't just refuse her wishes. However, it would be a shame to lose someone like Roboco.

"I'm grateful, really—" 

I could see Roboco was grateful from the bottom of her heart. She could finally know how her childhood friend ended up for good as she was listed as one of the victims of Jimina instead of previously being said to have died from an overdose. She bowed deeply at me. 

"I may not be working as an idol, but I hope to be able to help you in other matters. Especially in regards to whatever you did to Jimina." 

"Haa— I don't know what you're talking about?" 

"I don't think it will work for me. Basically we're both texting each other and I'm asking you a favor. Before something mysteriously happened with Jimina that I can't tell people about because it's so supernatural. It feels too coincidental to think that what happened has nothing to do with you. Although I don't know how you did it. I'm pretty sure." 

Well, if you said like that— that's pretty obvious. 

"So are you saying you will help me with that stuff?" 

"Yes, because I feel like I can help you more than being an idol. I don't think you lack anything like that. Therefore, I hope I can help you in other ways." 

I could see that Roboco's expression was very serious. I don't know how determined someone as young as her is to get involved with something supernatural like this. At least, it seems to make her look very promising.

"So are you saying that it's okay for you to do dirty work?" 

"Yeah, that's fine." 

"Okay then, I hope we can work together." 

I didn't know why she chose these ways, but well, it's quite helped me in a way.
