===========Diablo pov==========
(To think that I would actually have the honor and opportunity to mean my supreme master's daughter so soon. I do wish however that it was under more pleasant circumstances but I will try and apologize to the young miss later on, once she has calmed down from this rather unfortunate first meeting...) At the moment though I looked at the open entrance of the cave, I could sense the little one much deeper within the cavernous space than I had expected her to be.
(The young miss is far more...interesting then I had first thought she would be but that was my fault for foolishly underestimating her) I had to admit to myself that I wasn't expecting the sudden shift that had just taken place.
The feeling that I had just felt was rather bizarre. I have lived for a long, long time yet this feeling was new to even me. It was somewhat hard for me to describe it even though I had just experienced the event myself...I wouldn't describe the feeling I felt as fear, no, it wasn't that. If I think about it however it was more like the absence of everything. How strange...
While I was taken aback for only a split second it was far more than enough time for her to vanish through a rift in the ground that opened up like a crack in the fabric of space below her before seemingly reappearing deep within the caverns below. I had a suspicion that I wouldn't be able to stop her for long but I can't help feeling rather disappointed in myself.
(To think I would fail at such a simple task...how very disgraceful of me) I muttered internally before letting out a soft sigh.
Still though, my focus drifted back to that rather ominous feeling that still seemed to linger in the back of my mind like an ever present echo. So empty, so cold, I find myself wondering if that is what death would feel like, the absence of all things.
"Extraordinary..."
===========Suu pov==========
(What a bloody weirdo...) I will admit that some part of me did want to just straight up kick his ass for getting in my way but I restrained myself, for now anyway.
"Now where the hell are you dad"
With that I began traveling through the tunnels with some caution. After all, Veldora was supposedly around Milim's level of strength and if my assumption was wrong I need to be ready for a fight.
However, as I wandered towards where dad was I began to notice something strange. It became rather clear to me that I was following a deliberate path, as if I already knew the exact way to him without knowing the full layout of this place beforehand. It was strange however, even though I could feel his aura that wasn't the thing that was leading me to him, in fact it was more like we were tethered together by an invisible rope and I was just following it. It was odd.
I had a feeling though, one that told me that this peculiar phenomenon had something to do with my joyful skill but I wanted to ask Great sage to be sure. I still couldn't get in touch with her and that was one of the more annoying things about this shitty situation, after all if I could just connect to her I could find out what was happening rather easily.
Anyway, I continued my track deeper into this damn cave. It didn't take long to reach my destination but it was somewhat irritating, mostly because of the constant sound of dripping water that began to get on my nerves after some time of walking. After a while though I entered a large open cavern that was somewhat dome shaped and in the center was the person that I had been looking for this whole damn time, along with someone else I didn't recognize.
"I finally found you!" I growled ignoring the other person in the room for now so that I could focus on a certain slime boy that needed a very long talking to.
"Suu?" Rimuru asked in what could be described as confusion but he quickly paled somewhat when he noticed the pissed off look on my face.
"What the hell were you thinking?!" I hissed as I stormed over to him and glared into his eyes in frustration.
"W-what do you mean? What did I do?" He sounded even more confused and I couldn't help but face palmed just a little at just how dense he could be from time to time.
(He really can be such a bloody idiot sometimes) I sighed internally as I shook my head from side to side.
"Oh don't give me that crap, I knew that you had something to do with this bullshit the moment I found out what the heck was going on" I growled before turning my head to the other person in the room.
"And you!" Said person took a step back when he noticed how close I was to just punching him into the cavern wall.
"Y-yes?"
The blonde haired, rather muscular man was much taller than I was, in fact he was taller then Rimuru as well...not that that was a super amazing achievement but still. Anyway, he actually had some similarities to Rimuru, for one they had the same shade of amber eyes. He was wearing a cape that went down to just below his knees while the top bit wrapped around his neck. The cape in question was black on the outside and dark red on the inside.
He didn't have a shirt on and as such his chest was fully visible for all to see but he was wearing somewhat baggy black pants alongside a metal belt. As for his feet they were covered by white and black shoes that traveled up to just below his knees.
"What kind of muscle headed idiot releases that kind of an aura for no fucking reason?!" I yelled not holding back my frustration about the whole situation at all.
"Half the town nearly shit themselves! Some of the kids were crying their fucking eyes out you assholes! Did you two really think this was the best time to do this right after those bastards attacked us? Because if that is the case then you need a bloody award for your stupidity?!" I grumbled, dumbfounded by how idiotic this all was.
"I would have understood and been somewhat less pissed off if you had actually said something beforehand but nooooo, why would we do that? Let's leave the other demon lord in the dark and release one of the most powerful living creatures in existence that apparently can't control his own aura" I berated the both of them while rubbing the bridge of my nose.
"Errrm...I errm...I me-mean...well y-you see" I let out a long, long sigh. I had already figured out this person was Veldora but I just didn't care at this point.
"I'm sorry ma'am!" He announced after several seconds of trying to find the right words to explain.
"And you?" I asked as I turned back to Rimuru.
"I'm sorry too!" Hearing him I finally relented somewhat.
After a moment of just looking at him I let my shoulders sag downwards. I felt all the exhaustion I had been pushing to the back of my being flow out. I was tired, I was so tired of everything. My mind had been pushed to the limits because of all of the bullshit, the constant fighting...all of the death and I was just sick of it all. But in that moment my anger faded and was replaced by relief, so I grabbed the moron I call father and pulled him into a hug much to his rather surprised confusion.
"Errr...Suu?"
"Just...just don't fucking scare the shit out of me like that again you dumb bastard..." he seemed genuinely taken aback when he heard the weight of the fatigue that leaked out from my lips.
"Sorry..." He whispered before I pulled away and just took a second to breathe and calm down.
"If you're gonna do shit like this, at least tell us all beforehand" I muttered as I looked at him with a tired gaze.
"I will next time, I promise"
"Good" I sighed before straightening my posture.
"You're gonna explain this later" I muttered as I gestured towards the blonde lizard who just waved at me weakly.
"I plan to"
"You better..."
