The waiter sipped the water, dribbling some down his chin. He pulled in a deep breath, wiped his chin, and set the water on the table. “Thank you.”
“Are you okay?” Todd asked. He hurried forward and laid his hand on the man’s shoulder.
The porter stood up, cleared his throat, and straightened his uniform. “Thank you all, again. I don’t know what happened, but I feel fine now.”
Todd patted the man’s shoulder. “Probably low blood sugar. You should eat something.” Assured the man was unharmed, Todd slipped by him, and Nick followed close behind.
They stepped out of the car. Nick turned and softly closed the door after him, saying, “Two choices.” He motioned at the next car. Before Todd could stop him, Nick pushed by and climbed the ladder to the roof.
