Third Person's POV
Sunday come and it was time for Nate's friends to come over to hang out. He had Amanda prepare some light snacks to eat and sodas to drink. The first one to come was surprisingly Danny he was expecting to be Allison since she lives next door. But she was the next one and lastly Lydia and Jackson. Unfortunately, joe couldn't make it. Also, all of them brought their favorite snacks with them.
After everyone came. Nate starts with a house tour, he showed them the kitchen and where utensils are in case they need them, the bathroom on the first floor, and the office with a wide variety of books. He also told them about the armory in the basement.
"I would love to show you the coolest thing about the house but it's in the basement and I don't have access to it just yet," Nate says and goes back to the living room with the others following. Jackson curious like the rest asks about it.
"And what that thing is exactly?" Nate turns to look at him and grins.
"Well, It's an Armory down there" The others staggered a little and suddenly explode with questions and statements except for Allison. Her family has one too but it was for their jobs. she was curious about why Nate has one too.
"What the hell?" "An Armory? Like with guns and the like?" "Why the hell do you need an armory for?"
"Hey now, calm down it's nothing special just guns" Nate tries to calm them down but it didn't exactly work.
"Calm down? You said you have a full load of guns in the basement man, explain"
"Which I said I don't have an access to or did you forget about that part?" Yeah, okay maybe they overlook that part but still, he has an Armory in the basement and he better explain. Even though it sounded and was badass.
"Okay then, my family were gun lovers. It started with my father's grandfather they collected every kind of gun they could get their hands on until my father. Some of them don't work anymore and I have some of the modern ones too. Father would take me to practice with him. And since it is illegal for teens to own a gun, my uncle has the keys and code for the basement and I don't have access to it until I'm 18 when I would be able to get a permit that's all guys now come on let watch some movies."
After watching the movies, laughing and complaining about them, having small talk, and generally spending a good time but it was time to leave. They have school tomorrow and needed to prepare. Allison stayed behind it seem she wants to ask him something.
"Hey Nate, can a go with you to school tomorrow? Mom said she needs the car and dad will get me after school" She asks with a hint of uncertainty in her voice.
"Yeah sure, come over at 8 then and we can go together" she smiles at him and thanks him
"No problem see you tomorrow then good night" "Good night" Nate closes the door and cleans the living room before he goes to bed. After changing he goes to lie down when his phone rings. He picks it up and sees holden, he answers.
"Hey Nate, I checked with some people to see if anyone wanted to look into it. But when they got back to me they said there are already hunters there that were on the job. And not just some hunters a family of them."
"You joking which one?" "The Argents, they go way back almost 200 years. Some of the members are very violent with no questions ask kind of attitude so be careful."
"Great just Great" "What? What happened? Are you okay?"
"Yeah... I'm fine, the hunting family lives next door and their daughter is my friend"
"Crap...just be careful and don't get involved also stay out of their way. Good luck kid"
"Ok talk to you later holden bye" he falls back to bed and sighs "Great" he decides not to think about today and goes to sleep.
Monday Morning
Nate goes out and sees Allison sitting on his stairways. They greet each other and get inside Nate's car. While driving he puts on music and tries to probe her about her family.
"Say can I ask you a question about your parents?" she looks at him wondering what this was about. "Go ahead" "thanks"
"I was wondering about their jobs that's all" Okay she didn't know what she was expecting. He was so serious about it but it was just a normal question and she relaxes.
"Well, mom isn't working currently but she was a buyer in San Francisco, and dad is a security consultant and federally-licensed firearms dealer. He is one of the reasons we move around at least a year."
"Really do you think he'll sell me some of the new guns?" Allison Laughs at that.
"I don't know if you sweeten him up maybe"
"What if I give him one of the older guns from the collection do you think that will work?" He says with a smile.
"Maybe but I don't promise anything" and they both laugh.
The school went on normally and now we see Allison walking out to wait for her dad on the sideways. She notices Scott sitting on the bench probably waiting for her. Scott jumps to his feet when he sees Allison come out of the double doors. And as he approaches Allison she starts.
"What happened to you last night? You left me stranded at the party."
"I know and I'm sorry. I really am. But just trust me on this... I had a really good reason--"
"Did you get sick?" "I definitely had an attack of something."
"Am I going to get an explanation?"
"Could you find it in your heart to just trust me?" she hesitates a little but steels her nerves.
"Am sorry But No Scott I don't think I can trust you. I understand that something happened to you but was it so bad you can't explain--"
''Allison I--" "Let me finish, okay? We barely know each other for a week and have talked for less than an hour. I think it was kind of impulsive of me to agree to begin with and am sorry Scott but it best to stop right here--" Chris parks the car and honked to get Allison's attention while he gets out to open the door for her.
"That's my dad, I better go and hope that we can be friends see you later"
Scott nods, turning to head back. But then he pauses, head tilting up with an intake of breath. He's caught a familiar scent. Glancing back, he sees-- Allison's father. The face is instantly recognizable. It's the man with the crossbow. The leader of the hunters. He throws Scott a friendly smile, clearly not recognizing the boy as his prey from last night. With the full weight of realization hitting Scott--the father of the girl he loves is also now his sworn enemy--his face clouds with dread.
In a stunned daze, Scott stares out to the now empty road in front of the school. Having recognized her father as the leader of the hunters. And having realized his entire life is now an unmitigated disaster.
Locker room
Scott slowly drops his bag in front of his locker. The gloves fall to the floor next to it. He seems to be moving in a trance. He slowly turns, back against the locker, eyes staring in shock. Stiles leans his head out from the corner.
"You apologize to Allison?" "Yeah."
"So, she's giving you a second chance?" "No"
"Oh crap, hey everything's going to be good okay you can--" "no"
"No?" "Remember the hunters? Her dad is one of them."
"Her dad?" "Is one of the hunters."
"Allison's father?" "Shot me. With a crossbow."
"Allison's--" "YES. HER FATHER!"
Scott snaps out of the daze and into a full-on panic. They don't notice Nate behind the locker Scott has his back on listening to their conversation.
'Do they still not understand to not talk about these kinds of things in public, they are so bad at it I wonder how are they going to survive?'
"Oh my God, what am I going to do?"
"Okay, okay--did he recognize you?"
"No, I don't think so--"
"Does she know about him?"
"I--I don't know. What if she does? This is going to kill me man"
"All right, okay, we'll figure it out. Just--just focus on lacrosse. On lacrosse. Scott?"
"Lacrosse" Scott says and nods
"that's my boy let's go"
'SO GREAT, we have a shifter on panic mode. What the hell is the one who turned him doing or where the hell is he/she at all? And I said I won't get involved now I have to keep an eye on him in case he decides to kill anyone out there' Nate thinks as he follows behind Scott.
Hello, I want to talk about Grammar. English is my third Language so I know l suck at that and that it needs work and editing. But am at university and don't have the time. I already take time from my sleep to write the ff and the most I can do is that run the chapter through a program Grammarly the free version that spots the most glaring mistakes like spelling and the like. so am asking if it is so bad that you want to pull your hair and can't read the chapter? Anyway, the point is that some of you complain about it and personally it brings me down that's all, and from this point on I would like to ask a favor. no more comments about grammar please you can write it in the review as you like if you believe it is that bad.
Anyway I talk a lot so sorry about it. i wanted to thank you all for you support and it makes me happy to see you like it thank you again.
