Chapter 34

DREW

Lucas held Sienna against his shoulder while she wept inconsolably as we watched the casket being slowly lowered into the wet ground. It had been pouring all through the night and into the morning; and large black umbrellas mushroomed above to protect us from the fat, incessant raindrops.

There were only a handful of people at the funeral, just close friends and family. Lucas’ father was still missing and, although he tried to pretend like he didn’t care, I could tell that he was worried. We had flown to Tuscany in his private jet, right along with Grace and the kids, Nico said he had promised them and he was a man of his word.
