TBATE : Reborn Scientist

Due to Agrona's negligence and the unpredictable nature of aether, a scientist's soul from earth slipped into dicathen without anyone's knowledge. Follow him on his journey as he unveils the mysteries of mana and aether. *************** Schedule:- One chapter every Mon/Thu/Sun *************** It is a Tbate fic, so most of the characters will be from the original novel except Mc and some other important ones. So, you must know that I DO NOT OWN THE RIGHTS of any of the characters from the original novel. Now that is out of the way, I wish you happy reading. -Several Initial chapters are not written very well, as I was really bad at writing, a month or two ago, but the new ones are top-notch, I guarantee that, at least according to me.

CHAPTER 9 : TRAINING RESULTS

*BOOM BOOM BOOM*

A deafening boom echoed through the air, as the thirty earth constructs shattered simultaneously into thousands of pieces as my spell reached them, leaving nothing but a cluster of debris in its wake.

The whirring metal spears surged ahead at breakneck speed, propelled by a potent combination of gravity and air magic. They showed no signs of even the slightest deceleration

*Bang*

The cave echoed with a loud bang as all 30 Spears collided with the rugged walls, carving through them like a hot knife through butter, and leaving behind 30 perfectly round holes the size of fists.

I plainly looked ahead as the cluster of debris settled down.

"Hm," A hum of approval leaked from my mouth looking at the devastating damage inflicted by my spell, despite the little amount of mana it required to be cast.

It's called Metal Burrage.

Over the past three years, I've managed to learn a plethora of spells, some of which were born from my own imagination while others came from fate visions.

When it comes to managing data, keeping it organised is crucial. This quote has been my guiding principle since my early days as a scientist, and I've always made sure to organise everything neatly. Following which, I categorised all my spells into four distinct categories.

Movement spells being the first category.

Gravity, also called gravitation, in mechanics, is the universal force of attraction acting between all matter. As far as I remember was the weakest known force in nature on earth and thus played no role in determining the internal properties of everyday matter.

However if the intensity and direction of this generally weak attractive force could be controlled at will, the outcome it could present would differ vastly.

Proven correct by the new technique I named 'Attraction and Repulsion'.

Using myself or any other living or non-living entity as the focal point of my gravity magic, this technique used ATM mana as the major fuel to attract things towards or indirectly even repel them away from me within the radius of my mental energy field, which currently extends up to about 150 meters.

Despite the understandable flaw of range, the spells proved to be incredibly valuable to me. In fact, I consider them to be my top spells for movement, especially when paired with a touch of air magic to decrease air resistance.

However, Attraction and Repulsion are not limited to movement only, as they could be used to increase the momentum of most of my spells in the second category, metal barrage being one of them.

Projectile spells, a category mainly reserved for long-range spells.

I have further divided this into two clear subcategories. Metal barrage is classified as a continuous projectile spell, which can be propelled using attraction and gravitation.

All the Elemental projectile spells, from the basic ones like fireball, lightning bolt and air bullets to the advanced spells like ice shower, lava ball and white lightning bolt fall under this category.

As for the second subcategory.

Following my will, almost half of the mana drained from my core gathered in my now raised palm as I began to incite one of the most potent and mana-consuming spells in my arsenal.

All the atmospheric mana in the surrounding started to respond to my call and resistantly gather around my arm, assisting me in my casting.

My hand was illuminated by an intense light as if the blazing sun had manifested in my palm, as I finished casting my spell.

"Death ray" I mumbled, almost sounding like a whisper.

*Zap....*

Instantly, a loud zapping noise pierced through the air, resembling the screech of a witch.

In a flash, a blinding white beam of light erupted from my palm with lightning speed, emitting a heat that could rival the searing surface of the sun as the very fabric of space seemed to distort around it.

In a blink, it travelled all the way to the wall of the cavern.

Leaving nothing but scorching lava in its wake, the nearly 5000°C ray proceed inside it.

A tremendous amount of mana from my core as well as the surroundings surged into the spell as it finally passed the bounds of my mental energy field, which was around 150m as of now.

"Ahh," Suddenly a pained grown escaped my mouth.

I immediately cut the supply of mana, cancelling the spell as I felt

a nerve-racking headache in my head, signs of mental exhaustion or mental energy depletion to be precise.

Clutching my head in my arms, I looked ahead to see the destruction caused by the beam.

The wall bore a stunningly crafted crimson carriage-sized hole, as though a powerful drill had been used to create it. The molten rocks, now transformed into blazing magma, oozed down the edges, leaving a trail of scorch.

With a smirk of triumph, I forcibly shifted my focus towards my mana core, which had dwindled down to more than half its capacity.

Death ray, a spell made possible through the extreme mastery of molecular manipulation of fire element particles, all thanks to the immense purity and intensity of my mental energy, along with the other spells like frost beam and thunder ray falls under non-continuous projectile spells.

Although considerably more powerful than the other attack spells in my arsenal, they require a large amount of mana from my core as well as the surroundings.

As per my current mana core and mental energy capacity, I can cast a maximum of two non-continuous projectile spells, If I don't want to suffer from the mana and mental energy exhaustion.

The last category is obviously for defensive spells.

Within which mostly lies elemental walls and body layers for long distances and meele.

Moving on, I have successfully assimilated my mental energy with all four elements. Moreover, I have also unlocked and gained access to many deviants such as lightning, ice, gravity, metal, sound, and magma, however, despite testing every possible theory I could remember about plants on earth, I couldn't unlock plant deviant.

But to my surprise, I stumbled upon the method to utilize pure mana, and it actually turned out to be pretty simple. All I had to do was refrain from utilizing my mental energy in the core to alter the mana's nature as the main function of the mana core itself is to convert all the mana absorbed into pure mana.

During this period of time, I've regularly purified my core, which has now reached the solid yellow stage. However, judging me solely on this would be unwise.

Thanks to my abundant and superior mental energy, my mana manipulation skills are almost at par with that of a light yellow core mage.

And with the aid of ATM mana, I believe my spells are strong enough to overpower even a light yellow core mage.

However, to test that out, I have to get real combat experience. And I can say for sure my parents would not agree with me.

"Huh," A slight sigh released from my mouth unconsciously.

Breaking out of my thoughts, I surveyed my surroundings and found myself in a vast cavern, measuring almost a thousand square feet.

This was a space I had constructed beneath my cave, specifically for practising spells, about two years ago. It was located deep within the wilderness.

A sudden yawn came out of my throat as I walked towards the stairway positioned in the corner of the cavern.
