a ravenous mole and a tattered apparation

The shadow start pulling from every source of light. Creeping across the ground.

"Grab hold of these beast and grab them to the Netherworld." Because of the limited light her power wasn't at full strength. The rats and loam lions scream as their body is jerked down. Scratching at the street the beasts try to pull away. But the shadows were to strong screeching they were dragged into darkness.

One by one she dragged the beasts down. The fog thinning she wants to head into the plains where the fog and beasts were coming from. Theo and Orion community through their bond.

T: Rion do it, I'm serious.

O: Theo i have to end this at the source or they'll keep coming.

T: fine then at least just wait for me.

O: hurry up then

The beasts realize that she is the one calling the shadow, as the rats continue spreading the lions direct their attention to her. Notice the change in the lions, she lets go of the shadows and summon her soul knives. One right after the other she's throwing her knives piercing the lions' bodies but not killing them. It was just making them madder and slowing them down.

As two pounce her she falls back but was able to grab the beasts buy their throat. Ripping their esophagus out. The two lions fall to the ground as another two jump they're hit by arrow piercing their throats through and through. It was Jocelyn and my brother Oleander. Jocelyn using a whip, Rion's eyes widen when she see't its cracking with electricity. Together they start taking down the beasts.

Theo shows up with a short sword and a crossbow.

"Where you get that fancy thing?" Orion asked.

"A solider handed to me he got it from someone passing out weapons" Theo answered, "Let's go."

Theo and Orion take off leaving the loam lions to Oleander and Jocelyn. Finding their way out of the city; the fog was making it hard to see. Orion stopped and said "I'm going to try and clear a path in the mist, I don't know how far we'll get with it but at least its something."

Orion whispers a spell and moves her hands in different signs before throwing her arms into the air; and from her arms the fog designated. Clearing the view one foot at a time until there was about 15ft of sight.

"Well definitely better than nothing, lets go." Theo said grabbing her hands running further. Every now and then seeing another loam lion. About 20 minutes into running through the fog they feel the ground quake beneath their feet.

"What's that?" Orion asked feeling a bit scared of what it might be.

"I don't know, but what ever it is its really big."

Just then right outside the clearing a beast

burst through the ground.

"Ah shit, what the fuck is that?" Theo said. Seconds later it comes into view. It was a thing of nightmares. It's eyes glowed red with malevolent energy. It had 8 legs and dark and spiked skin, a huge bright pink nose with thick pink whiskers coming off it. The beast had razor sharp teeth that dripped saliva toxic venom.

Orion's eyes turn purple and she levitates from the ground and summons her soul knives. Bright purple energy bolts crackled in her hands.

T: when did you learn that.

O: when I was last in the Netherworld. Talk later. Focus.

Launching the first blows she through her knives and they sliced through the air and into the beast barely penetrating its skin. The beast moved with incredible flexibility dodging some of the knives and arrows from Theo's crossbow. The beast charging still dodging the knives and arrows takes a swing at Theo with his claws slashing through the air. Theo jerking back narrowly missed by its sharp deadly claws. The beasts swings again when Orion hits the beast in the eye.

Enraging the beast, it turns its attention to Orion, with the distance between her and the beast, he reaches for slashing through the air; she drifts left and then right and back its attempts. Throwing soul knife after soul knife it barely puncturing it skin. Her hands begin to glow, and she had this urge to touch the beast.

O: I need a distraction. I need to get on top its head

T: You got it.

As Orion keeps ducking the beast scratches

and bites; Theo comes dashing sliding under the beast stabbing into the beast dragging his across his belly, The beast swiftly moves to attack Theo. Orion drops herself on his while he's distracted. She puts her glowing hands on his head, and she takes a deep breath and focuses.

"Hurt" she says.

The beast screams in agony tossing its head back and forth. Trying to shake her off. It was making her slide around she slides down his nose and grips the thick whiskers oh his nose. The beast howls in pain.

"Burn" she says.

And beasts nose begins to blister. The agony the beast was experiencing was unimaginable.

"Break" she says.

The nose on the beast snaps. The beasts

eyes glow bright red and then fade to black; it collapsed to the ground. Orion slides down the beast face and runs to Theo. Jumping into his arms they kiss. He swings her around and pushes his lips to her face. She grabs his cheeks and sucked the soul out of his body.

"I'm really tired. I think I'm gonna take a nap,"

"You can't fall asleep yet you have to stay awake." He whispered.

"I don't think I can." She respond barely a whisper.

And then she fainted in his arms.

"Shit now is not the time" He groans with frustration.

A deep haunting howl sounds in the distance. The sound gave Theo goosebumps.

The fog dissipates and a creature made of darkness appeared. It appeared to have no body, its arms like black wind swirling. In the shape of arms and legs. It looked to be hooded but it had no face, inside the hood was empty. It was the most terrifying thing he's ever seen. Theo stood for a moment his mouth gaping Orion in his arms, horrified at the monster that stood before him. With the wave of its hand Theo went flying. Orion tossed from his arms. The monster flies over to Theo lifting him up off the ground and slams him. Picking him again and slamming him back down.

In the distance Arragon, Oleander, Joselyn, and Sal come rushing up as the beast lifts Orions unconscious limp body into the air squeezing her her throat. Orion couldn't breathe. Her magic sensing her life endanger, the monster inside awakens breaking fully to the surface once more, her magic taking over. Her body burst into purple flames blinding the apparition. It releases Orion only for her to stay lifted in the air. The glow in her eyes covered her pupils. She lifts her and a deep scream, the sound of a monster almost, came from deep inside her purple energy blasted in all directions knocking everyone down, pushing the apparition away.

"USE A LIGHT SPELL" Theo called to his friends. Arragon and Sal team up and put a light as bright as the sun into the air.

Without any words the shadows around her pour in. The ground turned black slithering shadows threads of purple fell from her fingertips. The shadows surrounded the monster. They seemed to grab hold of the apparition causing it to disperse among the other shadows swallowing its darkness.

The moment the monster dissolved her eyes closed and she collapsed falling to the floor glow fading. Her brother and Sal dropped their light spell and those shadows drifted away. Theo came running to her. The company surrounding them stood stunned. Struggling to take in what they just witnessed. Joselyn the most surprised by the enormous amount of necrotic magic Princes Orion possessed. It was unnerving to know someone with so much power was roaming unknown to those around them. Her brothers utterly shocked at the display of power their sister just performed. The power left a static in the air raising the hair on

their body.

Theo scoops Rion into his arms. Getting

a good look at her face, she was pale her eyes and her nose bleed.

"What the hell is this? She's crying blood!" Theo yelled panicked stricken "we need to get back and get a healer now!"

The group rush back to the city, the beasts and vermin that remained retreated into the plains and the people were picking up the wounded and moving debris. Theo arrives at the palace Orion in his arms, he brings her to the sitting area.

"Joselyn I need warm water, Carter I need Dr. Sintar, bring him here now!"

Joselyn rushes to the kitchen and grabs a rag and boils water. Carter rushes to the doctor's villa in search of him.

The blood still streaming from her eyes and nose, Theo takes the rag and begins dabbing at her face. Her breathing was soft and shallow, her body was completely limp. Theo was afraid.

"Everyone, get out." Theo yelled loudly.

Her brothers and the rest of his friends stood in shock at the sight of her.

"I will kill you if you don't get out now!" He turned to them snarling. Taking the hint they all leave. "Don't let anyone but the doctor in here."
