"Take a seat there," the stranger with a red hat said, motioning to the opened tent he mentioned earlier. "I'll get you something to drink."
Heon nodded, wide eyes trying to follow the stranger's movement, but he just couldn't concentrate. It was as if his mind was clouded over by a dark veil.
"Here."
A cup of something hot was offered for him. Heon took it, absorbing the warmth to his cold fingers. He just noticed the chattering of his teeth. "Tha- thanks …"
The stranger clinked his own cup against him. "What are you doing here?"
"I …" he found it hard to say what he wanted to do. Not because he didn't want to, but somehow it was hard to do. "I don't …" as if he couldn't recall it in his mind.
The stranger's knowing smile was shadowed by his red hat. "You should be careful. There are things here that want your life."
