Beast whisper

A boy around 15 was running in a forest with a pack of wolves chasing him, but the chase soon stopped, as the boy tripped on a rock and hit the ground painfully His arm was badly bleeding as he used it to break the fall, as he winced in pain the wolves had already caught up to him and opened their mouth but instead of killing him they started to lick his wounds as these wolves weren't chasing him, but running with him. As the boy weakly stood up he petted the wolves.

"It's alright girl," He said as the wolf nudged against his stomach and chest.

The boy picked up a couple of leaves and wrapped them along his arm. Then he started walking towards the east while the wolves started following him.

Around 40 minutes later he and the wolves saw a cave approaching them ahead. They walked closer and closer towards the cave when they eventually reached it the boy lit a fire and rested his head on a rock.

As the sun was setting a wolf came back with a large monster that's skin was a shade of green, its stature was stubby and it had 4 arms though the boy did not know what it was called the world knew it as 'Goburin o taosu' as it originated and was first found in Japan

The boy was fiddling with a medallion with a picture inside it. The picture had a baby girl next to a boy at least 3 years older then her. Above them, two adults who seemed around the age of 38 though it would be hard to tell because all of the people's faces except for the boys were burned even the boy's face had slight burn marks.

As the wolf entered it dropped the bloodied monster on the floor. The boy started getting up and walked towards the monster and picked it up he then picked up enough meat for him to eat then started to cook it on the fire, as he was doing this the wolves started walking to the monster then started ripping it open and taking out the meat and devoured the whole thing.

Around the same time they finished, the boy started eating as his food was done cooking the boy seemed to have a slight smile on his face perhaps from the delicious of the food or from the picture he was staring at.

After he was done eating he decided to sleep.

"Run!" a man said as he lead multiple people to a gate with multiple carriages and horses. Multiple people just ran. Some people turned behind them and all they saw were buildings on fire, explosions happening in the distance, and red humanoid creatures that seemed to match the description of a demon some of those 'demons' were taking 'advantage' of fallen human women, and even some men after they were done some could be seen slashing their necks with blood red swords and battle axes. Some screamed for help others were so broken and in pain that they couldn't scream at all. While others tried to fight back to no avail.

In a building in the main castle, a family dressed in fancy clothes was running from a group of demons, when a piece of wood fell and the women and the rest of the family were separated the man told a nearby maid that was also running to take the children she quickly swept up the children and ran for her and the children lives.

The man could be seen destroying the wood when he reached the other side the 'demons were just about finished taking 'advantage' of her then right in front of his eyes they slashed her throat.

"NOOOOOO!" the man screamed in anger and just as the children and the maid got out the castle exploded as the man released his full power in a state of anger.

The maid kept running with the children and eventually reached a wagon and put the children on and started going as fast as she could around a minute after she had started moving, 2 four-legged beasts with blood-red eyes and disgusting yellow teeth with two extremely ugly 'demons' on them started chasing them. When they reached a river one of them shot a flaming arrow at the wagon and killed the maid instantly the children were swept into the river and the boy and the girl were separated by different paths of the river.

One could hear a voice yelling.

"Find the children they're the only ones who can stop us!"

Right after this, he woke up to the branch's breaking and the murmur of voices in the distance he could faintly hear their voices.

"Over here, there's a cave we can rest in!"

"Make sure there are no beasts on there! We have too many injured to take the risk!"

The voices came closer every second and eventually they reached 3 big men carrying swords and axes that had a mysterious glow. They waved their swords around carelessly while they were looking for any beasts.

"Do you see anything hew?"

"No, how bout you"

"Not a thing" he responded

"Wait I think there's something over here" the third man responded

Right as he said that multiple red eyes appeared in the darkness and growls could be heard. Then multiple wolves stepped out of the darkness and started walking toward the adventurers.

"Tier C sköll wolves!" Hew said with fear on his face while he readied His sword and the glow on it started glowing brighter.

Right as they were about to attack, a boy walked out of the darkness and yelled "wait, don't attack!"

The wolves stopped in their tracks and looked at the boy, the adventurers did the same

"A kid?!" Hew said

"What are you doing here!" he said with surprise on his face

"Get out of here I'll protect you!" he said

"No, they won't hurt you if you don't provoke them!". The boy responded

"What are you talking about!?" Hew answered him

"Put your swords down and they will calm down." The boy said with no fear on his face

The man slowly put down his sword despite his unwillingness the rest slowly did the same after seeing that the wolves calmed down.

"Who are you?" the man said

An answer the boy did not know himself

"That's an answer I should be asking you." the boy answered

"We are from the adventurers guild with a party from the twilight guild." the man seemed to have a hint of pride on his face when mentioning the last part.

"The what?" the boy answered

"You don't know who the twilight and adventures guild is?" the man said with surprise on his face

Another man spoke

"Enough talking, who are you, and why aren't they attacking?"

"They raised me for as long as I could remember and my name is Aranus I think," Aranus responded.

"You think?" the man responded.

"How many people do you have with you," Aranus asked avoiding the question

"Around 30 people."

"How long do you need to stay here?"

"For around a day or 2," Hew responded

"Go and tell the rest of your people"

"Ok." He responded and left with the other men to go tell the others what happened,

Aranus walked over to the wolf that seemed to be the leader and calmed her down and patted her head.

Around 15 minutes later a group of around 30 containing men, women, elderly, and injured walked towards the cave

One of them spoke to Hew and mumbled "you weren't lying" after he saw Aranus patting the leader she-wolf.

"Do you have any place to rest the injured and treat them?" one of them said.

"There is a spot over there where there are semi-beds made of leaves" Aranus responded.

After around another 30 minutes and the injured and the elderly were laid down and semi-treated. They had made a fire and rested around it.

"What are you doing here with so many injured" Aranus asked

"A village was attacked by beasts after a dungeon break and hundreds of beasts came out a mission was on the mission board posted by twilight one of the strongest guilds because the town was under their protection we were also meant to investigate if someone caused the dungeon break or it was natural. But during our investigation somehow another dungeon break happened again we were able to save a few people but it was too much and we had to leave. We need to heal the injured and then return to the adventures guild to tell them what happened."

"You keep mentioning the adventures guild what is that?" Aranus asked

"The basics of the adventures guild is a place where a person can post a mission and people can accept them. There are other things too but that is just of it."

"Also what is sköll wolf"

"A sköll wolf is a strong type of wolf and a tier C sköll is very powerful they can use mana to strengthen and protect themselves, there are many more beast that is stronger than them and way more different."

Aranus was very interested in this. He no longer wanted to be confined to this small place he wanted to be free and go out and tame these beasts he wanted to learn to gain power.
