Those who didn't know their relationship well would think that Ying Ze could be trying to prank Red. However, Red knew that Ying Ze was serious. After all, he was usually the serious one among her friends, and often the voice of reason.
"Why weren't you affected though?"
"I can't say at the moment. All I can say is that you can add my number again and we can try to keep in touch, because we both know that meeting like this is going to be very dangerous."
"My phone may be tampered with though."
"Yeah, so we'll talk in a subtle manner."
"Like spies!"
"Er, no."
"Awww..."
Red smiled as she saw the slightest trace of a grin on Ying Ze's face. She knew he had been worried for her as well, and so it was all she could do to try to pay him back for his goodwill.
"Alright, I'll be going. Bye!"
"See you. Be careful."
Red nodded, before quickly vanishing back into the mess of buildings.
---
Judging from what she knew, Red guessed that Shadow had more than one ability. Shadow also had little malicious intent as she mainly let Red do whatever she wanted and you ignore the attack on the school. What Red didn't know was the ability of that man which was the boss of Shadow who was already probably quite powerful.
Dinnertime and Shadow had prepared more nice food for Red.
"Why are you so nice to me?"
Red's voice slightly revealed her fear and her confusion.
"Even if you don't believe it, I'm your sister. Yes, I'm older than you by 10 years, but that makes it all the more reason for me to take care of my little sister."
"But if you're my older sister, why have I never heard of you?"
"I'll tell you some other time. For now, just trust me on that."
Red stared at her, trying to see if there was anything she could decipher. Of course, she couldn't decipher anything, and she wasn't expecting to get any information anyways.
However, something kept nagging at the back of her mind, an unshakeable feeling of confusion.
Then it hit her.
Everyone other than the people she's met in that room rememberes her, but everyone else didn't.
