Chapter 18 73 Days Later

Day after day passed, soon weeks passed, and eventually months passed. Exactly 73 days later Yang Yu gazed at the sky and threw out a punch.

The air quaked slightly as Yang Yu smiled. "This technique, haha, its brilliant." Yang Yu said as he clenched his fists. Over this period Yang Yu continued his intense training, using up Su Huang's money to buy more Ice Ginseng, and visiting the Yin Pond twice more.

"Yes, your strength should be 50% higher than a regular person at the peak of Body Refinement, meaning you're at a total of 4500 times stronger than a regular person." Yun Zhu said as a smile appeared across Yang Yu's face.

Over this time, Yang Yu had grown a bit taller, and his gaze now had a cold light to it. The ice qi he had built throughout his body, along with the yin qi had slowly defused throughout his body, giving him a natural coldness to him.

Along with his Body Refinement, his Tyrant Meridian Technique had reached a total of 38 meridians, meaning he had completed 4 sets and had done 2 of the 5th set.

After every set the time taken to create a set of meridians would increase by 1 week, meaning at first it was 1 week, then it was 2, then 3, and 4, and so on.

'He probably would have finished about 12 or so days later if not for the Yin Pond.' Yun Zhu thought as he gazed at Yang Yu with immense happiness. He was proud of the young boy he grew to knew, and also immensely proud of himself.

'It worked.' He thought to himself as he gazed at Yang Yu. His gaze held a penetrating feeling, an aura of frost permeating around him, these, these were the signs of a physique, signs of an Earthly Physique, specifically the Immemorial Ice Physique!

"Hahahaha!" Yun Zhu laughed jovially as he gave a thumbs up to Yang Yu. "Now no one can say you're talentless!" Yun Zhu said excitedly. "What do you mean by that?" Yang Yu asked questioningly.

Sure he had a Mortal Physique, but it wasn't the rarest thing in the world, at least 1/100 people had such a physique. Most Inner Disciples and some of the top Outer Disciples actually had a Mortal Physique, and although still rare and sought after, a 2 Star Alchemist like Elder He could make a Mortal Physique pill every 10 years with just Sky Spirit Sect's measly ingredients.

Special and Unique Physiques on the other hand were much rarer, at about 1/10,000 and 1/100,000. Needless to say, there were a few Special Physique bearers within the Sky Spirit Sect, and with some effort they could surpass the current top of the Sky Spirit Sect, but they wouldn't be able to do anything heaven defying without a certain level of luck and hard work. A Unique Physique bearer on the other hand, could change the entire situation of the sect, and could possibly lead it into a new era.

Earthly and Heavenly though, were just on another level. Knowing this, Yang Yu didn't dare think he was talented. 'I wasn't born as lucky as that Jiang Long fellow sadly.' Yang Yu thought as he gazed at Yun Zhu.

"Well you were definitely lucky to meet me, behold, the power of a Peak Grade Sky Rank Technique!" Yun Zhu said as he made a big with his hands. "...Is something supposed to happen, or?" Yang Yu asked a bit confused.

Sky Rank techniques, are heaven defying in and of themselves, Peak Grade, are some of the strongest, only very few techniques are above this Grade, and even I know only bits and pieces because of this. Anyway I got sidetracked, because of their heaven defying nature Sky Rank techniques can perform feats which others can not, even granting certain physiques to the practitioner!" Yun Zhu explained as Yang Yu looked at him in awe.

"Do you mean, I got a Special Physique?!?!" Yang Yu said with a few tears in his eyes, even the cold countenance he acquired quickly melted away. "Haha, you underestimate me young one, you have gained, an Earthly Physique!" Yun Zhu said immediately Yang Yu's eyes rolled back, and he began foaming at the mouth.

This was too much even for him, it was like being told you won the lottery, not once, but 10 times, not only that, but each time you won, you earned 10 million gold.

A few minutes later he recovered as Yang Yu stood up and wiped his mouth. "Are, you serious?" Yang Yu asked just to make sure. "Yes, how else would I expect you to beat everyone in this sect!?" Yun Zhu said with triumph.

"Don't look down on I, a scholar! To travel 1 million miles, and learn everything there was to learn, you think that didn't require strength? Didn't require means? I Yun Zhu am most knowledgeable under the heavens, whoever dares challenge me in a game of wits must be either brain dead or born from a pig's ass!" Yun Zhu declared as he beat his own ghost like chest.

"Indeed, the scholar is great." Yang Yu concurred as he couldn't help but smile. "So what are the benefits of this physique?" Yang Yu asked in extreme excitement.

Hearing this, Yun Zhu cleared his throat. "Firstly one must know the basics of Physiques. As everyone knows Mortal Physique's benefits, although still benefits, are mostly measly or not worth much, typically this ranges from a 10-20% benefit, as you have the Pure Mortal Physique, you get an immediate benefit along with a 12% increase in your Qi purity. This typically varies, but due to the pill you consumed being of below average quality the benefit was nearly the minimum.

After Mortal, you have Special, Special Physiques and those above, range from Sword Physiques, to Elemental Physiques. They give the bearer 50% increased training speed, due to being more naturally attuned to the world, and they have an increased comprehension to their corresponding attribute. As in, if you bear a Special Sword Physique, you have an increased comprehension toward sword techniques.

Unique Physiques work in exactly the same way, except they have twice the cultivation speed of a person with no physique, and they have highly enhanced comprehension towards their corresponding attribute.

Earthly Physiques as well, they have thrice the cultivation speed of a person with no physique and have extremely enhanced comprehension towards their attribute, in your case, ice." Yun Zhu explained as Yang Yu nodded.

"What about Heavenly?" Yang Yu asked with some apprehension. At this rate no one could match him, but Jiang Long was still a bit scary, although extremely friendly towards him.

"...Heavenly is a bit different, I had personally never seen one till I saw Jiang Long, and all I know is from records. They state they have twice the result with half the effort, and have immensely increased comprehension towards their attribute. Which in Jiang Long's case, would not only be Yang, but also to a degree, fire. They also have one terrifying element, one that only I had discovered, anyone with a heavenly physique has an extraordinary fate meaning their luck will be much, much higher than nearly anyone else." Yun Zhu explained causing Yang Yu to falter slightly.

Suddenly though Yun Zhu smirked. "Who cares though? You think I only have what I've shown you so far? My knowledge is vaster than the sky and deeper than the deepest ocean, you think I can't beat a Heavenly Physique brat?" Yun Zhu said as Yang Yu chuckled.

"Hmm, then you better continue giving me those techniques." Yang Yu said as Yun Zhu nodded. "Of course, assuming you hold up your end of the deal." Yun Zhu said as Yang Yu also nodded.

"Good, now, you may take a break, but make sure to still cultivate your meridians." Yun Zhu ordered Yang Yu as he nodded. "Ya, I know." Yang Yu said as he gathered his things and walked home.

'Maybe I can go out a bit today? I'll see if Xiao Lei is in the mood first.' Yang Yu thought as he continued down the path.

Later that day, as night descended onto the world, Yun Zhu sat inside the Crimson Steel Ring. "Step 1 completed." He mumbled as he wrote in his diary. 'Now onto to teaching him martial skills.' Yun Zhu thought happily as he closed his diary and went to bed.
